we did. And Spencer kicked Cherokee's butt last week. We can only hope that when we go against Le Mars that we have good luck there too.
This weekend was a good weekend for me. I managed to do some more writing, on the site, on ff.net, and on my books. I have yet, though, to do anything about Chronicles of Acalathon. I will still write it, but I need inspiration. I think I need to watch some movies and see what I can get from that. The books I am reading aren't helping. I'm now reading Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Very good book but is kinda slow. I think it's because I am taking the time to actually soak the words in. I watched the movie a couple weeks ago and now that I am reading the book, it seems to be going slow. But it's very good so far.

My birthday wasn't all that special, really. I mostly stayed home and did whatever. Though since my dad gave me some money, I went and bought more books and also bought Speed Racer on DVD. Good movie. I also smiled as a lot of my old Jefferson High School friends wished me a happy birthday. My father called and we talked for awhile.
Now, I don't want to get your hopes up, but I probably will be coming up for Thanksgiving and staying a few days. My dad says that he is fine with driving me to Bloomington to see you guys again. I am thinking of staying two/three days with Dad after Thanksgiving. I have no clue, since Mom and I have to talk about what is gonna happen. Who knows, I might have a job by then and I would have to work.
Anyway, no, I have not had any kind of alcohol yet. ^^ Mom and I are gonna try to save so that we can get a wine cooler and I could try one. I'm not gonna try the hard stuff just yet. Besides, I don't think I would like whiskey, rum, or whatnot.
Nothing else going on. Mom is desperately trying to find jobs while her parents are nagging her about it. They are driving her crazy and I don't blame her. They drive me crazy too.

I got a job interview today at Walmart. I got a job as long as my references are sound and give me good reference. I hope so, cuz I really need a job. If I do get this job, I might be working with Mom ^^ She'll not only be my mother but my co-worker ^^
Also, I saw Eagle Eye today. YOU MUST SEE IT! I absolutely thought it was awesome. Someone had sent me the game on Facebook. It was fun. You had to clear your name, as you were labeled as a terrorist, just like in the movie.
If Mom and I get jobs, within November we will go out looking for places to live in Spencer. Cross your fingers for us.

Yup. I just came back from my orientation day. I don't remember if I told you what I am, but I am a full-time cashier at Walmart. So, hehe, *sweatdrop*, I work about 40 hours a week. I get a lot of 8-9 hour shifts, starting next week. Eek! J/K. I will get through it.
I will be available all weekend, but starting Monday, I work. Mon-Wed I work 9-6, Thurs-Fri 10-7, Sat 11-8, Sun 12-9, Wed 1-10, Thurs 10-7, and Fri 1-10.
All of em are 9 hour shifts. Oh my word. And our training is mostly on the computer, with little videos and slideshows with review questions at the end. Boooring.
But the cool thing is, when I finish my pharmacy tech and I still work there, I will ask to be a pharmacy tech there if they have a position available. Cool eh?
But I couldn't make it down to Denison to watch the graduation but I knew it was gonna happen. Same with Thanksgiving. I probably won't be up since I am working and I will probably work Black Friday (ick!). I will see if there is anyway I can get those two days off, but I somehow doubt it, so I have told Dad that I probably won't see him Thanksgiving, which means for you guys in MN that I won't see you until next year or if I have some time around Christmas that I don't work. I know I don't work Christmas Day. Whew.
I will be signing up for health insurance soon, since it is open application right now. I kinda have to, in case Dad's insurance falls through. this way, I can be covered and I know I would be covered.
Anyway, just thought I would let you guys know what is going on. Mom has Tuesdays and Thursdays off because she has college. It's weird... my mother is my coworker too. I have to get used to calling her Jackie when we are at work. *sweatdrop again*

mhm... considering that Mom and I work 40 hours a week and if we go over that, we get overtime. We get paid next Thursday, which is awesome. Also, Job Corps is gonna send me the rest of my money and I also got the amount financial aid is gonna give me for college. YAY!
All we did today at work was stare at a computer screen and watch training modules. Booring. Tomorrow we get to get with our sponsors.
Uhh... I only got 4 hours of sleep, but I just had to finish reading that book. It was very good! It's called The Devil You Know, sequel to The Devil Inside, by Jenna Black. Her next one, The Devil's Due, comes out in December. It's about demons and the main character is an exorcist who ends up being possessed by a demon but the demon, Lugh (king of demons), can't take control of her. Tis a good book series.
Once I get my first paycheck, I have to buy new shoes and some new khaki pants. Mine are a size too big (which makes me feel great).
Oh! When Mom and I picked Shannon up from football practice, one of the junior varsity football players broke his leg and they had an ambulance over to take him to the hospital. Shannon only works with the varsity team. So, it was kinda interesting. It started raining too.

Mom and I have a couple places to go look at this week. We had gone to see a place last week but it didn't work out. Tomorrow we get to see a spacious four bedroom house and the next day we'll be looking at an apartment. We saw a two bedroom duplex today that we will put on a backburner for in case something goes wrong.
Ugh. I work on Halloween, 2 to 11, so I get to miss dressing up as a vamp and hand out candy. Oh well. But I am excited that I have November 14 off so I can go see Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond movie. Anytime I have off after the 21st, I will go see Twilight and Bolt.
I got myself onto a few more TV shows. Let's see... I like Supernatural, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Birds of Prey, and Sanctuary. Go figure.
Expect Christmas cards to be sent your way next month. Shannoons and I are gonna take a picture together and go do greeting cards at Walmart and send them out. I have the template all picked out and everything. I just need to sit down and figure out how many I want to send out before I put the order in.
Well... gotta go. I'm gonna go see a movie.

I've got some really great news!
In case you haven't been on Myspace or Facebook, Mom and I have found a house to rent in Spencer. It's the four bedroom (well... it's really three bedroom and one den) one we looked at on Wednesday. We've been moving some stuff, whenever we get a break from work. We hope to be in there around the next two weeks.
I can give you guys the address, but don't send me anything there until I tell you to. Then I can also give you our phone number once I get it. Here is the address:
510 4th Ave W Spencer, IA 51301
Now you guys can come over whenever you want to and not worry about the grandparents. We will have a sofa that folds out into a bed for the den downstairs and we might get some air mattresses in case you want to sleep in one of the rooms or something.
I have pictures of some of the house on myspace and facebook. I have more so I have to post them when I have time. I think you guys will love it when you see it. It's wonderful and spacious and has lots of closets.
We might even be getting a Wii. Our Walmart has a lot of them but we won't be able to get one. Dad said I can borrow his whenever I wanted and I might ask him to let me borrow it until I see him again.
Well... I should be going to bed. Tonight was a very long and dead day. Ugh.
