Note: This is Mistress Whiskers' gift for winning the Who's Your Daddy challenge. I hope she enjoys it!
Merry Christmas, Love
Riley Lupin-Snape and Draco Malfoy waved as their parents left for a Christmas party over at the Potters. They were invited to come along, but they decided to stay back to be alone together. Besides, their parents needed a break from life.
Riley shut the door and turned to his mate, grinning. Draco could hardly believe that this was the same boy he met that fateful day in downtown London. His light brown hair was no longer matted and filthy from lack of washing it and he looked a whole lot healthier. It even shocked Draco even more to learn that he was the son of Remus and Caelyn Lupin-Snape and brother to Naomi Lupin-Snape.
"Draco?"
"Hm?" Draco asked, focusing his gray eyes on Riley's amber ones.
"Were you even listening to me?" Riley asked, amused.
"No. What'd you say?"
Riley leaned forward and his mouth settled near his ear. "We've got the house to ourselves. What do you want to do?"
Draco shuddered and turned his face so Riley's mouth captured his. They stood in the entrance hall, kissing each other passionately. The two boys found that they couldn't stand to be apart from each other; life would simply have no meaning and their bodies seemed so cold.
Riley pulled away first, pressing his forehead against his mate's. They tried to settle their breathing while their hands trailed over their heated bodies, caressing.
"I got something for you," Draco whispered, pressing kisses to the werewolf's face.
"Oh really?" Riley whispered back. "So do I."
They moved toward the Christmas tree, which only had their gifts underneath. Draco reached under and grabbed his gift while the other boy did the same. The Slytherin pressed a small velvet box into Riley's hand while Riley gave Draco a similiar velvet box.
Riley opened his first and he gasped. Nestled around a velvet cushioning was a simple gold ring with an emerald and ruby stone in the middle.
"It's a promise ring," Draco explained. He plucked the ring from the box and slid it onto the werewolf's right ring finger. "If it were possible, I would have already proposed to you, but my fathers and mother said I should probably get your a promise ring for now. I love you, Riley Joesph Lupin-Snape and I always will."
Riley smiled and he examined the ring. He turned back to his mate. "Now open yours."
Draco opened the box and he too gasped. It was a silver ring that he remembered seeing in books before. It had two hands that held a heart in its hands, topped with a crown.
"I think you know how this works," Riley said. "It's pure silver, so I can't touch it, but I gave you this ring as a symbol of our love and who you belong to."
"It's beautiful," whispered the blonde Slytherin, slipping the ring on so the point of the heart pointed at him. "And I will always belong to you."
Riley grinned wolfishly and he leaned forward, kissing his mate. Draco leaned into the kiss, feeling his heart pound furiously. The two made love in front of the fireplace and snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket over them.
When the Lupin-Snape and Malfoy-Black adults came back, they were surprised to come home to silence. But when they found their sons sleeping on the couch together, cuddled close, they smiled.
"They truly are perfect together," said Rachel, smiling.
"That they are," said Lucius, placing an arm around his wife. "I can't believe I doubted their relationship."
"The good thing is that you realized your mistake and you are willing to correct it," Caelyn replied, her arms around her mates.
