Summary: Some don't see the need to do anything for Valentine's day
"He doesn't want to do anything for valentine's day," Christina said sadly as she walked next to her friend to the great hall.
"He...what?" Patricia raised an eyebrow. "Remus Lupin boy who eats more chocolate then any girl I've met doesn't want to do anything on Valentine's day?"
"He says we don't need a special day to say we love each other," Christina sighed. "Maybe he's right."
"Bullocks!" Patricia growled as they got closer to the great hall. "You need to do something! Your the schools perfect couple, for merlin's sake if you don't do anything for it you're letting all the girls without boyfriends down!"
"Mind your own business, Keeler." Sirius Black said as the Marauders walked past them, Remus looking very embarrassed as he hide his face in his book.
"No one asked your opinion, Black." Patricia said doing a back wards peace sign at the boy.
"This is why I didn't tell you about this earlier, you know." Christina said going bright red.
"Look, if the poor boy doesn't want to do anything for the one day a year its allowed to snog your brains out in the hallway-" Christina could sense another rank coming on and quickly ditched her friend walking quickly to the ravenclaw table. Christina had to admit she was upset about her boyfriend not wanting to do anything for Valentine's day, even Severus who didn't know they were mates yet had give her a card. It wasn't fair or right for him to be acting so much like James Potter about the whole thing. She glared down at her eggs for a good half an hour plotting how she would make Remus pay for making her dread the one day a year all girls looked forward to when an owl dropped a letter onto her plate.
She knew Remus' handwriting and sighed as she ripped open the envelope. She unfolded the parchment and gasped at the words written on the page.
We don't need a special day to prove the words "I Love You" to each other. We prove it everyday in the things we do for each other, celebrate it in our laughter and treasure it in moments that a Valentine's Day card or gift can never fully represent.
