Cayden sat in front of her computer staring blankly at the screen. She knew she hadn't been as faithful returning emails as she had been when she first moved to Forks but this seemed desperate even for Jocelyn. It wasn't as if she didn't care about keeping in contact with everyone from back home but things had gotten busy. There was school, dealing with her mother and of course him.
“Morning Cayden.” Edward appearing right behind Cayden causing the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up. Cayden felt his bronze hair brush her shoulder as he leaded in to read over her shoulder.
“Hey maybe my email is private?” Cayden said reaching behind her and pushing his face away from her shoulder playfully. Edward stood up gracefully smirking at her playfully. It was times like this that Cayden was sure her feelings for the Vampire. There were moments when he'd withdraw from her but they were fewer and farther between now.
“Whats so private about that one, hm?” Edward asked looking at her in that way that made her forget to breath. He was breathtakingly perfect like some kind of painting of a Greek god and when he smiled she had trouble connecting her thoughts together. “So your friend is coming for a visit, what's the worst that could happen?”
“You obviously don't speak Jo.” Cayden rolled her eyes at Edward looking back at the screen. “She's not coming for a visit. She's moving here.”
“Then why the panic in your eyes, Cayden?” Edward couldn't read her mind and Cayden was glad for that on most days but not today. She wished he'd just know what she meant by this being bad news but then would he leave her? Not that it'd risk his family's safety too much but after what happened with that other girl maybe they would rather run?
“This was sent three days ago. She'll be arriving in an hour.” Cayden admitted the least threatening fact about it. “Death is threatened if I stand her up.”
“I'm sure we have time.” Edward whispered into her ear softly.
“No I value my ability to breath.” Cayden hated how breathless she sounded.
“Five more minutes.” He mumbled into her hair softly.
“We’re going to be...late...” She was breathing heavy and could barely get her words out. She was trying to convince him to stop but even she knew she wasn’t doing a very good job.
Edward moved his head until his lips hovered just inches from hers “Don’t care.”
She closed the distance between them. They stayed like that, wrapped up in each other, until Cayden pulled away. She rested her forehead against his as they both tried to breath.
“I’ve been wanting to do that all morning.” She whispered.
“Me too.”
