Summery: How did you and Mommy met?
Puck reserved the pool in the rec building. He had since he had first gone through the change. He didn't mind that others complained about the lack of time they had to swim, it wasn't his problem. He needed it more then they did, he had a tail. Bluesky had a small cramped little tube he could use but he thrived to stretch himself more freely then that.
He was used to being cornered by some of the Bipeds in the hallway to the pool to bother him about his time. It irritated him to no end. There would be remarks about his ocean colored hair, his 'girlish' type and then would be the threats. None seemed to notice swimming almost all hours of the day made him stronger then them. Today there were a group of Redwings in the hallway blocking him from the pool.
“There you are, mermaid.” Thomas said loudly blocking his way. Thomas was a pretentious bastard who had made Puck's life a living hell their entire school life. Puck disliked him more then anything else. “I've got a proposition for you.”
“I don't swing that way.” Puck said blankly as tried to move past Thomas' group of brainless muscle.
“Fuck you,” Thomas growled, his eyes flashing crimson. One of the two girls in the crowd reached forward and hit him in the back of the head. He glared at them and looked back at Puck. “I need you to teach someone to swim.”
“I'm not a teacher.” Puck yawned hearing someone in the pool area already. It pissed him off. He didn't like swimming with other people. They were irritating, and bothersome. And stupid questions about how he breathed under water.
“Two hundred bucks.” Thomas offered holding up the money smiling. Puck sighed slightly, he needed money for college but taking it from this bastard stung slightly.
“Fine.” Puck said reaching forward snatching the money from his hands glaring at them. “You can go now.”
“Don't be such a tool, Bluesky.” One of the boys muttered at him as the Redwings matched off. Puck rubbed the bridge of his nose and started off to the pool.
“I don't know who you are or why you feel the sudden need to swim but you better keep your eyes closed.” Puck said loudly throwing his backpack against the wall as walked into the pool area.
“I..Okay.” Puck sighed as the girl's voice sounded confused. “If I ask why...”
“I change into a fucking merfolk.” Puck said as he stripped off his uniform jacket and shirt leaving nothing but a white tank top to cover his upper half. “I really don't feel the need to wreck my pants.”
“Sorry I asked!” Puck turned to glare at the girl and felt his breath escape his lungs. She had long straight black hair in a pony tail as her hands covered her face. He couldn't see her face but what he did see was her wings.
“Wouldn't want to scar you.” Puck heard himself say.
“Just so you understand this wasn't my idea.” Puck couldn't look away from the beautiful wings coming out of her back. He knew some Greenplants got them but they looked like a piece of art work. His hands stilled on the top of his uniform pants. A thousand questions threated to leak out of him. Who was she? How had he never noticed her?
“Then whose plan was it?” Puck was proud his voice gave none of what he was feeling away. If the biggest asshole in Redwing and this siren were a couple there was nothing Puck could do to change that.
“His. He thinks I should learn how to swim if I'm going with him to California for Christmas break.” The girl laughed softly as she kept her hands covering her eyes still. “I didn't even agree to date him but he doesn't listen.”
“Seems the type.” Puck smiled slightly unbuttoning his pants sliding them off and tossing them towards the pile with his shirt. He spared one more look unnoticed at the girl and dived into the water changing into his natural form gladly. It was simpler to keep his emotions, among other things, secret when he had his tail. He swam towards where her feet were still lingering in the water as he appeared at the surface smiling when her hand had stayed over her eyes. “So who are you again?”
“Mab,” She smiled slightly. “Who are you?”
“Puck. I've heard about you.” Puck nodded still keeping most of his body in the water. Lots of the other bipeds referred to her as a nun because she didn't date. But seeing her he could understand how they felt.
“I've heard of you too.” Mab's smile grew slightly. “It's funny how we can be in the same grade and we've never met.”
“Injustice.” Puck replied softly sinking into the water.
“Can I open my eyes yet?” Mab asked softly. “Doesn't seem fair to make a girl wait this long.”
“By all means.” Puck said watching as she removed her hands from her face. He had expected her to look amused or curious but he saw her cheeks flush.
“...Your eyes are purple.” She whispered almost too soft for him to hear her.
“Your's are gray.” Puck felt her heart beat through the water. It was faster then it had been a moment ago. No one noticed what color his eyes were when he was in his form. Everyone focused on the tail but she was looking him in the eyes.
“It's...I've never seen anyones eyes do that.” Mab said tilting her head slightly. “Its like the sunset reflected on the water-god, I sound like a cheap romance novel...”
“No.” Puck said putting his hands on either side of the edge of the pool edge against her body. He pulled himself up slowly, feeling her tender soft skin rub against his scales until he was at eye level with her. “No ones ever described my eyes before.”
“They should have...” Mab whispered as she reached out and touched his arm softly. He felt an odd sort of shock run up his arm. Puck knew what that meant and from the shocked look on her face she knew as well. “Mates. That can't be right...”
“Why?” Puck asked softly leaning into her area closer loving the color that spread through out her face. “Is there something wrong with that?”
“It's not that. I'm glad, it's just...” Mab looked down slightly. “ Thomas paid you to teach me and here I just go and fall for you.”
“I can teach you something anyways.” Puck said brushing his finger over her leg. “You're not dating him so I don't see the harm.”
“We just met.” Mab said looking him in the eye blushing again. “Eight months from graduation and we almost never met.”
“I say we make up for it.” Puck whispered in her ear softly as he brushed his finger up her wings softly.

Mab loved to use how they first met as a bedtime story, of course it would use a much clearer version where they had talked for hours instead of having the best sex Puck had ever had up to that point. She also left out the fact that Thomas got quiet a shock when he came to pick Mab up from her swimming lesson. Not that they ever out right lied to their children but their were something that were better left unsaid.
And if any of their four children noticed their Loki's birthday was nine months to the day of them first meeting no one mentioned it.
