The Vampire Knightswritten by Mistress WisewingsSummary: AU. The Marauders (Remus, Sirius, James, and Severus) (yeah, no Peter ^^) are Princes who are also Vampire Knights, destined to live forever to protect their country. One night, they are sent to Georgetown where there are sightings of creatures attacking the villagers. While they do so, the four men stay in an inn run by four peculiar women who seem to shatter their hardened hearts and bring unfamiliar feelings to life. Author Note: This is gonna be a lot of fun to write. I have had this idea for a very long time. Hope you guys enjoy it! Chapter One"I can't believe it! They are coming here... to our pitiful expanse of land!" A tall girl with long dark brown hair and hazel eyes rolled her eyes at the younger girl, who was bouncing in her seat. The other girl had chin-length jet-black hair with dark lavender eyes. She was wearing a common dress with a light purple bodice and a dark purple long skirt. Her white undershirt was loose, as it was supposed to be. (A/N: like in the old times) "Calm down Geneva," the tall girl said, leaning against the bar ledge. "Be thankful no one is here yet or else you'll embarrass us all." Geneva (or Gen) perched herself on a stool but she couldn't seem to stop quivering in excitement. "I can't calm down, Amaryllis. We are going to be housing four Princes! THE Princes!" Amaryllis looked at the girl with an amused look. "I know, Gen dear. I seem to recall a certain crush you had on Prince Sirius." The girl blushed. "I still do," she mumbled but the other girl heard her. "You can't stop her, Amaryllis." The two turned around as another girl emerged from the backroom. This girl had shoulder-length dark red hair and sparkling green eyes. The dress she wore had a brown bodice and a dark green skirt. Amaryllis sighed. "I know, Lily, but I still try. That's more than what you and Brayden do. I can't see why you two would let her do whatever she wants." Lily was amused. "Amaryllis, she is almost eighteen. Brayden and I agree that she should be able to do what she wants, since her birtday is next month." Gen jumped off her stool and hugged the older girl tightly. Amaryllis shook her head but she had a smile on her face. "Where is Brayden anyway?" Gen asked, pulling back. "Meeting the supply cart at the edge of town. She was at her office this morning, finishing our monthly transactions." Amaryllis sighed. "Why doesn't she hire someone to do it for her? She has taken so much upon herself when she decided to buy the inn. Hell, she even has four rooms built for us down in the basement so we don't have to pay for our own places." "Brayden is that kind of person," Lily replied. "She naturally is a very giving person." As if she knew she was being mentioned, Brayden entered through the front door carrying several bags. An average-looking guy followed her, carrying the others. "Why didn't you wait for us to go with you?" Amaryllis said, rushing forward to grab a couple bags. Lily and Gen followed. Within a few minutes, they got all the bags in and said goodbye to the guy, who introduced himself as Dimitri. "If you ever need anymore help, let me know," Dimitri said to Brayden. He sent smiles to the four ladies and left. Gen sighed dreamily. "I think he likes you, Bray." Brayden ran a hand through her light blonde hair. "Maybe." Her light blue eyes looked toward the door. "Let me know when a man named Harrison arrives. He's one of the security people for the Princes." She went back in the back area. -------------- "Do you think we'll be able to go visit some of the victims before we check in at the inn?" Prince Sirius Black asked their head advisor, Andreas. "Maybe," Andreas replied. "It depends on what time we get to Georgetown." Prince James Potter shot Sirius a look. "Why? What is on your mind, Padfoot?" "I just want to see what their wounds are before we try to figure out what attacked the villagers." Prince Severus Snape nodded. "I agree with Padfoot. It is imperative that we examine these wounds before we hunt." Prince Remus Lupin was silent as his friends talked about what they would do first once they hit the town of Georgetown. Personally, he didn't care what they did. Though he did agree with Sirius and Severus. Harrison was going ahead to talk to the inn owners anyway. "Thanks, Moony," Sirius said with a smile. "See, Prongs? Moony agrees with us." "Stop reading my thoughts, Padfoot," Remus said, trying to sound menacing when he only sounded amused. "You got to stop being so quiet, Rem. You have a lot of good ideas in your brain." "It's because I am older than you in terms of how long we have been vampires," the brown-haired Knight mumbled. It was true. Remus was turned first, when he was only six years old. James and Sirius were attacked in their teen years and Severus was turned just before he turned eighteen. But they were all the same age and were Princes and Knights. Andreas sent them out on missions to destroy any kind of supernatural being that was sabotaging the cities of their country. Recently, Andreas heard of the several attacks Georgetown was having and sent the four vampires out to investigate. "You need to stop thinking so much, Moons," James replied out loud. "I think you need to get a girl." Remus sputtered while Severus and Sirius laughed. "No I do not! It is absurd to think that what I need is..." "Calm down, Remus," Severus said, still amused. "You know how James is." --------------- He lurked outside the outskirts of Georgetown, hidden perfectly behind the lush bushes and trees. He watched as the Georgetown villagers bustled about, doing their part to keep their town tidy. However, no one knew what the men and women were thinking and he did. He could sneak in to their minds and hear their chaotic thoughts, he could smell the fear at the thought of being the next victim of a strange beast lurking in the woods. The man smirked. If only they knew. --------------- This is what I imagined the dresses to be, different colors

Chapter Two
The bell over the front door of the inn chimed as someone entered. Lily, Amaryllis, and Gen glanced up and nearly drooled at the man who was approaching them. He looked to be about 6 foot 5 inches and every inch of him was all male yumminess. He had long, thick dark hair that was tied at the nape of his neck and beautiful dark blue eyes. His skin was a beautiful bronze color that indicated he was out in the sun often, even if the sun had gone down by now.
"Do you know anyone by the name of Brayden O'Connor?" he asked in a delicious German accent.
"I'll get her," Lily spoke up, blushing when his gaze turned to her. She ran back to Brayden's office. "Bray, there is this gorgeous specimen calling for you."
"It's probably Harrison. Did you ask for his name?" She glanced up from her paperwork, her quill still touching the parchment.
The redhead flushed. "No, but I have a good feeling that this is Harrison."
Brayden sighed and got up. She followed Lily to the front. "Are you Harrison?" she asked, not even pausing to look the man over. Her co-workers gaped in awe.
The man smiled and the three women let out dreamy sighs. "Yes, that I am. And you are Brayden?"
She nodded. "Yes, I am Brayden." She leaned around him to look out the windows. "Are they here?"
Harrison shook his head. "Nein. They have decided to go visit the victims at the hospital before arriving back here. While they are detained, I would like to discuss with you what the Princes expect while they lodge here."
"Let's go back to my office then, Harrison." As Brayden led the German man to her office, she smirked at the looks her friends were giving her.
"She is crazy for not swooning over that man," Gen said, shaking her head.
Amaryllis sighed. "You have forgotten, Gen, that she was betrayed by her fiance several years ago. She swore, since then, that she would not fall for another man.
"That's right. I had forgotten. Poor Brayden." --------------- Remus, Sirius, Severus, and James followed the main doctor, Dr. Arthur Reynolds, to each room where the victims of the brutal attacks rested. The vampire Knights winced at the wounds.
"Have they said anything since they were brought in?" Severus asked quietly, peering at the three long, nasty-looking gashes on a man's chest. The wounds looked deep and seemed to have been made from an animal.
Dr. Reynolds shook his head. "No, my Prince. None have a word, though they do mumble something in their sleep."
Sirius looked curious. "Can you understand what they are saying, Doctor?"
"No. Our nurses that stay overnight can't hear what the patients are talking about."
"Do you mind if we visit for the night tomorrow?" James questioned, his eyes on the doctor now.
He shook his head. "No. If it helps your investigation, then by all means."
"Thank you, good doctor."
The four vampires went back to their carriage and were quiet the entire ride back to the inn. So far, it seems as though a wild animal was causing the attacks, but they were unsure if that was the case. They had to have more time and evidence in order to come to a conclusion. --------------- "They're here!"
Brayden and Harrison stopped talking as Gen's shout echoed back to them.
"I'm sorry about that," the blonde said to the German. "Geneva's our youngest and still a child."
Harrison waved his hand, grinning. "I do not mind, Brayden. Youth is something to be cherished, not scorned."
She nodded. "Is that all, then? I have nothing else to say, so if you have any questions, feel free to come to me."
He smiled. "I most certainly will. Now come, let me introduce the Princes to you." He held out a hand and she took it.
Brayden knew that Harrison was gorgeous and her hormones danced as she saw the gentleman he was obviously raised to be. She also loved the German accent that tinted his voice. He even called her liebchen, which was an endearment in the German language. God, he sent her nerves on fire.
The two of them made out to the front when the four Princes entered the inn, dressed in their formal wear. Each man wore their own colors and had their home crests enblazoned on their tunics.
"Was your expedition fruitful?" Harrison asked.
One of the dark-haired Princes shook his head. "No, Harrison. We have permission to visit tomorrow night."
Brayden watched as the light-brown-haired Prince glanced around the inn, taking in the lobby. "I love how the inn was done," he said in a French-accented voice. The others, she knew, were British, like Geneva, Lily, and Amaryllis. Brayden, however, was Irish, but her accent was very soft, hardly there. "Who did such beautiful work?"
"Brayden designed it and one of the men in town, Tobias, did the work," Lily spoke up, looking away from one of the dark-haired Princes, the one with the hazel eyes.
"And who is this Brayden?" the black-eyed, black-haired Prince asked, raising an eyebrow.
Brayden cleared her throat, gathering the Princes' attention. "I am, Princes. I own this inn."
"You are still young to be owning such a place," the other black-haired Prince spoke up, his gray eyes on her.
"I am only nineteen, old enough. My parents died when I was seventeen. I dropped out of school and took over the ownership of the inn they owned, buying it with my savings."
"Je suis desolé," the light-haired Prince spoke again. Brayden shivered at the accent. "For your loss," he added.
"It happened years ago. Anyway, let me introduce my staff. The redhead is Lily Evans, who helps run the kitchen and sometimes the bar. The short one is Geneva Smith and she runs the bar mainly and serves drinks. Finally, the last one is Amaryllis Newton. She works the entertainment and helps with the housekeeping, though we have a seperate staff that do that."
Harrison smiled. "And let me introduce the Princes. The one with the gray eyes is Prince Sirius Black of Lanover. The one with the hazel eyes is Prince James Potter of York. The last black-haired Prince, the one with the black eyes, is Prince Severus Snape of Church. Finally, the last one is Prince Remus Lupin of Vienne."
Brayden smiled at the Princes. "A pleasure to meet you at last. We have heard of your exploits, Princes, and hope that you can help correct our town's problem."
Severus smiled. "We can hope so. Do either of you know anything of this... problem?"
"No more than the victims do," Lily said. "Anyone who has seen the attacker winds up in the hospital, sick with fever and in pain from the wounds. I am sure Arthur has told you that they mumble in their sleep, incoherent words that no one can decipher."
"We feel that we can help with that, mademoiselles," Remus spoke. "We were born with excellent senses."
"We hope you can solve this problem before all of our townspeople are attacked," Amaryllis responded, her eyes flickering toward Sirius every now and then. "Most of our friends and neighbors lay in those beds, unable to tell us what is wrong."
"People have been so stupid to actually set up traps with themselves as bait to see what is attacking our people," Brayden added, leaning against the bar. "They only end up in the hospital. My ex-fiance was one of them."
"Serves him right," Lily growled.
Remus frowned, his golden brown eyes on the inn owner. From what he could feel, this ex-fiance had hurt her in the past and that made him angry. How could someone hurt such a beautiful creature such as Brayden O'Connor?
Remy, are you thinking what I think you are thinking? Sirius' voice asked inside his head, a mental smirk could be heard.
He snarled mentally. Shove off, mon ami. It is none of your business.
"His loss," Harrison replied. He brought one of Brayden's hands up to his mouth and he kissed the back of her hand, staring her in the eyes. "He should have appreciated you more, liebchen."
Remus could feel the amusement of his fellow Knights as he glared at the German werewolf. He held in a growl when Brayden smiled at the gesture.
"It was months ago," she said as she took her hand back. "Anyway, I think we should show you your rooms, Princes." Brayden pulled out four keys and handed them to the Princes. "Lily, take Prince James to his room. Amaryllis can take Prince Sirius and Gen goes with Prince Severus. I'll take Prince Remus." She looked to Harrison and Andreas. "If you two don't mind, can you wait down here? We'll be back and we can talk more."
"Of course," Andreas said, smiling. ---------------- "Are these rooms near each other?" James asked Lily as he followed her up the stairs. The others trailed them.
"Not really, but they are in the same area," she answered. "We weren't sure if you wanted to be near the others." She took the first right down a corridor full of oak doors and floral wallpaper. Gas lamps hung on the wall along with several black-and-white photographs.
"How long have you known Brayden, Lily?" he asked as she stopped near a door and took out a spare key.
"Since we were young. Amaryllis, Brayden, and I were in the same class while Geneva is a year younger than us." Lily unlocked the door and stepped aside to let James in. "The room is very basic, as you can see. It has a bathroom, a small kitchenette, and a king-sized bed. The fliers on the dresser show the times we serve our meals and when the entertainment starts. We even hold events outside, but now that we are under attack, we don't dare do that now. At the moment, you four are the only ones staying here but tomorrow we will be getting some more guests. All the rules are also on the fliers."
James turned to face Lily, his hazel eyes searching her green ones. He felt something stirring inside of him but he ignored it. "Thank you, Lily, for showing me to my room."
Lily smiled. "No problem. Now, if you'd like, you can go explore the inn but stay away from the back offices in the main area. They are private and off-limits to guests." She nodded to a small silver bell on the kitchenette. "If you need us, ring the bell." The redhead turned around and left. -------------- "This place is beautiful," Sirius commented to Amaryllis as they went straight ahead toward another corridor. "It is hard to believe your friend owns all this."
"But she manages it well," Amaryllis responded. "She works her fingers off to get things right. Business has not been great since the attacks have been advertised. We are lucky to have small groups come in. In fact, tomorrow we are getting a group that is staying for a week."
"How many can you hold in this facility?"
She paused outside his door, the key in the hole. "I would say around one hundred." Amaryllis unlocked his door and showed him the layout of the room. She also told him the rules and showed him the fliers that would tell him everything. "If you ever need anything, ring the silver bell on the kitchenette and we'll come. I hope you have a good night, Prince Sirius."
He held out a hand. "Please, Amaryllis, call me Sirius. There is no need for formality around me. Out of the four of us, I am the most childish."
She grinned. "Perfect. Well, Sirius, I will see you later."
Sirius watched her go hungrily, his eyes glued to her backside. He shook his head. Nice going, Black, hitting on your host. Then again, I have done worse. With a smile, he closed his door and leaned against it, trying to stop his racing heart. ----------------- Gen skipped happily ahead of Severus and he chuckled at her youthfulness. It brightened his day to see children play and have fun during dark times and it seemed that Geneva was no exception. Though she was only seventeen, she seemed to have a child-like soul.
"How did you end up making such friends, Geneva?" he inquired, lengthening his strides to catch up with her (which was no problem with his superhuman agility).
"Most of the older boys at school loved to tease me. I was the smallest of my class and they picked on me a lot. One day, Lily saw them pushing me around and she yelled at them. Then Brayden saved me from being shoved into a dirty outhouse and Amaryllis stopped one boy from slapping me. All three of them became my friends and no one has beaten on me since."
"I am relieved to hear that. I find it absolutely horrid that any male dare to hit a female," he said, watching her fish out a ring of keys and started to unlock his door.
Geneva smiled. "Well, I am glad you think so, Prince Severus."
"Please, call me Severus. I do not think we should be so formal to each other."
She blushed. "Anyway, this is your room. All of the rules and information are on the fliers on your dresser. I am not like my fellow co-workers and remember everything. If you need us at anytime of the day, please feel free to ring the silver bell on the kitchenette."
Severus looked around and he turned to smile down at her. "Thank you, Geneva."
"Call me Gen, Severus. It is only fair." She giggled, her face turning even more red.
He reached out to touch her cheek and shivered at the feeling of electricity dancing across his skin. Gen shivered as well and her eyes closed involuntarily. Severus ran his thumb over her soft cheek and she leaned into the touch. He barely caught himself before he kissed her. The dark-haired Prince coughed. "I'm sorry," he said and he shut the door between them.
Severus knew better than to believe that a simple oak door could hold him back if he wished to take Geneva. Damn it, I shouldn't be reacting like this, as if I were an adolescent experiencing their first crush. I am over a hundred years old, not seventeen. He brushed a hand through his dark hair. ---------------- Remus found that he preferred the furnishings of the upper floors than the main lobby. It reminded him of France and he felt slightly homesick.
"Do you like the inn so far?" Brayden asked, snapping him from his thoughts.
"Oh, yes, I do," he said, smiling. "It is beautiful. Though, I do have a question to ask you, mademoiselle."
"Ask away. You should not be afraid to ask me any kind of question, Remus."
He smiled as he noticed she didn't use his official title. "I have been wondering if you have more staff than you and the three girls."
She took a left and lead him down a corridor of doors again. "I do have a few others but I have no need for others."
"It just seems that you do all the work, the fiances and all the paperwork. A woman your age should be out exploring the world and finding a man to settle down with."
Brayden smiled sadly. "You sound like my uncle. He comes here often, begging me to at least take a vacation."
Remus longed to offer her a chance to see his kingdom but he squashed that thought immediately. He didn't know what was going on with him, lusting after the inn owner. First he was angry at her last fling and now he was thinking of a future with her. There was no way it could happen, especially since he was a vampire, a monster, and she was a beautiful mortal who was the proverbial forbidden fruit.
He shook his head as soon as he heard the door to his room click open. He paid attention to what Brayden said and he watched her leave. His eyes landed on her neck and his fangs slid out of his gums, elongating as he smelled her scent.
Snap out of it, Lupin! he scolded himself, trying to will away his bloodlust and his need for her body underneath his. You cannot have her.
Looks like we aren't the only ones battling with our inner demons, Severus' voice rang in his mind.
Thank God for that, Remus replied, shaking his head in disgust.
What are we to do?Sirius asked, sounding unsure of himself.
The others were silent.
Did I hear correctly, or did Sirius, the one who flirts with anything and anyone, sound.... unsure of what to do? James asked.
Sirius shook his head as his friends laughed. Shut it, guys. I mean, we cannot deal with any kind of relationships while we are here. We are here strictly to solve this town's problem, not lust after the workers at the inn.
I don't know, Padfoot, Remus answered. Let us cross that bridge when it comes. Let us retire before the sun rises and bakes us to a crisp. ---------------- The man hissed as he had watched the Princes' carriage pass into the town and stop at the inn. The little bastards! How dare they enter his territory? Who called them?
This new development was going to screw his plan up. Growling, he took off at a run back to his master. He needed to have guidance.

thanks ^^ It's very fun to write. Anyway, here is the next update and you might learn more about the man who is behind the attacks. And it might surprise you.
Chapter Three
Andreas glanced around nervously at his surroundings and then looked to Harrison. "Can we trust these women to keep the Princes' secrets? They will soon find out what they are, if this case takes too long."
Harrison smiled. "I know fräulein Brayden O'Connor will keep their secrets."
The vampire raised an eyebrow. "Are you infatuated with the woman, Harrison?"
The werewolf blushed a little. "I know I like her very much, freund. I don't know if I would call it an infatuation."
Andreas opened his mouth to say something when the four women came down the stairs. He closed his mouth and went for a smile. "The Princes are in their rooms?"
Brayden nodded. "Yes." She perched herself on a stool. "Is there anything we need to know about the Princes? Any kind of thing like bad habits or any kind of diseases or disorders or anything of the sort?"
Andreas and Harrison shared a glance. "There is one thing," Harrison began, licking his lips. "But we are unsure of how you will take it."
Gen scoffed. "We own a bar here also, buddy. We have heard many strange things going around. I think we can take whatever you throw at us."
Harrison looked amused and Andreas coughed. "We have to be sure we can trust you," the vampire replied. "We don't want to endanger their lives, or yours."
Amaryllis lifted her chin. "You can trust us, sirs. You may be surprised at the secrets we keep inside this town."
Lily nodded.
Harrison grinned. "Gut." He turned to his friend. "Shall I tell them?"
"I think it is better if I simply show them."
Brayden studied the men while her co-workers frowned. "Show us what?" Gen asked.
Andreas's face seemed to become more skeletal, the bones becoming more pronounced as his skin whitened. He opened his mouth to reveal his top canine teeth, which were fully extended and sharp. There was an odd reddish color in the pupils of his eyes.
"Good God," Lily breathed, eyes wide. "You're a vampire!"
"Not just him either," Harrison replied. "The Princes are too. That's why they will be sleeping the day away and going out at night. I, however, am different. I am a werewolf and only change on the full moon." He looked at Brayden and saw her indifferent look and frowned. "You are not surprised, fräulein. Why is that?"
Brayden looked away while everyone stared at her. "I can't tell you. I would be betraying a secret I have kept for several years. Please don't make me divulge it." --------------- Remus paced his room, his fangs now gone but the desire was not. He had half a mind to charge downstairs and take Brayden to his room and have his wicked way with her. Just looking at her made his hands ache to touch her, to feel her warm skin against his cool skin, to explore every crevice of her mouth, to bathe in her unique scent, to taste her.
That's it. It's official... I have gone mad.
You are not mad yet, Remy, Sirius said. Sev almost kissed Gen.
Hey! That was not yours to divulge, Padfoot! Severus said, growling mentally.
I just don't understand why I am feeling this way. No other woman I have bedded has made me feel this way, made me feel this.... hunger I feel for her. It's like I have to taste her or else I shall die.
You're not the only one, Moony, James responded. I feel the same with Lily.
I think we all feel this attraction to these women, Severus replied. And none of us know why.
We should find out, look into their family history. Maybe they have some sort of talent that draws us to them or...
Or they are your mates, Andreas's voice replied.
WHAT? the four younger vampires chorused.
You have known that vampires have mates, young ones. A vampire's mate is known to them by their unexplained attraction and thirst for the mate's body and blood. Once you have tasted your mate's blood, no other blood can satisfy you and once you have made love, no other person can satisfy your lust either. It is a bond that is hard to break. Also, your mate benefits from the bond too. Their senses sharpen a little and they live long lives. But if a mate dies, the vampire goes insane and becomes a rogue, no longer retaining their humanity. But rogues aren't always made that way either and you know that.
So, what should we do? Sirius asked.
Court them. Flirt with them. Do whatever you want. -------------- Brayden stepped outside and took a deep breath of fresh air. It had been a long time since she had gone outside just for the sake of it.
She should have known that there was something otherworldly about their guests. She had seen it before, but differently. Kyle, her ex-fiance, was otherworldly too. He could transform into a wolf once a month, just like Harrison. Kyle admitted that he truly was around 70 years old, far older than Brayden was, but he said that age didn't matter. He said that there was a scent about her that attracted him to her, the scent of his mate. Being a romantic herself, Brayden fell even more in love with the man. She didn't care if he turned into a monster once a month. He never killed anyone willingly.
Shortly after they got engaged after two years of dating, Kyle said that he wanted her to see his wolf form before they became bonded as mates. She agreed. On a full moon, he came to her in his wolf form and she gasped. He was so beautiful, larger than any wolf she came across before, but he looked like one. He had a beautiful coat of gray, white, and black mixed and intelligent golden eyes. When she touched him, the wolf shivered but he wagged his tail. They played the entire night.
Also, Kyle mentioned that after they bonded as mates that they needed to consummate their bond in a different matter, a matter that made her blush furiously back then. Now, it sickened her.
Just a few weeks before their wedding day, she caught him in bed with a hooker and not just any hooker. Brayden knew who the woman was, which made it worse. Brayden fled the room, with Kyle shouting after her. He continued to find her and beg for forgiveness. She threw the ring back at him and told him she no longer wanted to see him. It took several more attempts before he got the hint. Kyle said a final goodbye and left, leaving Brayden the mental image of him in his wolf form, tail tucked in between his legs and head down, ears flat against his skull.
That was the last time she had ever seen Kyle Vance. She never regretted her decision of leaving him. She didn't know if she could have trusted him after his betrayal.
Kyle was the reason why she believed in the supernatural world. He had shown her a world that was completely different, and yet the same, as the modern world they were living in.
A tear slid down her face and she wiped it away. Her eyes subconsciously went to the dark forest where she last saw Kyle vanish. If she called, would he come back to her?
Hands circled her waist and pulled her back against a hard body. Brayden jerked and swung around, ready to hit whoever dared, and her arm lowered as she caught sight of Remus, his amber eyes glittering.
"You scared me," she said, letting out a breath.
"Sorry," he said in his soft accented voice. "I did not mean to frighten you." He kept his hands on her hips. "What are you doing out here?"
"Getting some fresh air."
She could feel him probe her mind and she let him. "Andreas told you what we are?" Remus was now frowning.
"Yes, he did."
"And you are not surprised, frightened that we would instantly drain you dry in the night?" There was a slight bitterness in the Frenchman's voice.
Brayden smiled. "I trust you, all of you, to keep your fangs to yourself. And no, I am surprised."
"You have seen one of before, oui?"
"Not a vampire but another otherworldly creature, yes."
His hands traveled up her body, tracing her curves through her dress. "What did you see?"
Brayden sighed. "I can't tell you. I would be betraying the person's secret. He made me swear not to tell another living soul."
She could feel his smirk more than see it. "I think you forget, mademoiselle, that I have no soul and I am not living, so therefore you would not be betraying your friend."
She laughed and shoved him a little, not surprised that it didn't make him move an inch. "You think you are so funny, don't you?"
He touched her nose with a finger and they both shivered at the electricity that shot through their nerves. "I know I am funny, mon chère."
"You are so full of yourself, Remus Lupin." She leaned against him, breathing in his scent. He smelled like spices and something she thought to be Remus himself.
Remus let out a content sigh and rested his chin on the crown of her head. "Je ne peux vivre sans toi."
Brayden smiled. "I do like it when you speak in French but my French is very limited. What did you say?"
He swallowed, not really wanting to tell her what he said. She had no clue that she could be possibility be his mate. He didn't know why he let it slip with that simple phrase. Sure, girls loved to be told that a man couldn't live without them, but he wasn't sure about this one. After all, she was still healing from her ex-fiance.
"Nothing, belle," he said.
She smiled wider. "You think I am beautiful?"
Remus frowned and pulled away so he could look into her bright blue eyes. "You are very beautiful, Brayden. What makes you think you aren't?"
She could read on his face that he thought Kyle had made her feel like she was ugly. "No, it wasn't my ex-fiance, Kyle. He loved me very much."
"Then why did he leave you?"
She laughed bitterly. "He didn't leave me, I left him." She traced a swirling design on his tunic. "A few nights before we were to be wed, I found in bed with another woman. I was so torn, so broken, that I left. He tried to plead with me, beg me to come back, and I stayed persistant. He finally left me alone, saying that he still loved me." Her eyes went to the forest. "He disappeared into the forest and I never saw him again."
"How long ago was this?" he asked, his own eyes going to the forest.
"About two years ago." She smiled at his look. "Yes, we were young, but we didn't care. It wasn't like I had any parents to give permission for me to marry and his parents were gone too."
"But didn't you live with some other relatives after your parents' death?"
"Yes."
Remus licked his lips, also trying to conceal his lengthening fangs. God, he wanted her so bad. "And weren't they supposed to be the one to give permission to give you away to this Kyle?"
"They didn't care, Remus. As long as I was happy, they would let me go."
She continued to trace another design and Remus felt as though that finger was branding the design into his chest. Before he could restrain himself, he slid a hand to the back of her neck and pulled her up to meet him, their lips touching. He let out a moan and felt her echo him. Remus moved his lips against hers, his tongue snaking out to ask entrance to her mouth. Yes....
He then regained his senses and he pulled away, breathing hard. She was staring at him with glazed eyes, her lips red and swollen from their make-out.
"Mon Dieu, I am so sorry," Remus said fiercely, wanting more than anything to kiss her again, this time to actually taste her sweet taste. He wanted to do so much to her that it made him ache everywhere. "I usually have more restraint..."
"Remus..." she said and he shut his mouth. Brayden walked toward him and he stood there, not sure what to do. She then smiled and leaned up to kiss him again.
He moaned and crushed her to him, his tongue pushing deep into her mouth. It was too much, too soon, but he liked it. Reluctantly, he withdrew from the kiss, knowing that she needed to breathe.
"I don't understand," he replied slowly. "You know I am a vampire. You know that I drink blood and I sleep during the day. I have abnormal senses and speed and strength. Yet, you still kiss me. I could crush you, could..." he swallowed, choked up.
"I don't care, Remus. I know the consequences of being in a relationship with a supernatural creature." --------------- Gen was peeking out at Brayden and Remus from one of the curtained windows. She smiled when she saw them kiss again. They deserved to be together.
"What are you doing?" A silky voice asked from behind her.
She squeaked and turned around to see Severus smirking at her. She knew that he knew what she was doing.
"I was just..." Gen took in a breath. "Since Brayden broke up with her fiance two years ago, she has been all alone. Every man flirted with her but she paid no attention. And now that Remus is..." She gestured to the couple outside. "I just wanted to see if things would work out."
He nodded. "That is understandable. You are worried about your friend getting hurt again. This I can tell you now, Remus would never harm her, intentionally or not. I think he is a perfect match for Brayden." As you are to me he thought to himself. --------------- German translation: fraulein: as in Miss freund: friend gut: good

I am pretty sure you know who the four female characters are, but I bet you have no idea who the guy who is attacking everyone is. Well... he will be revealed soon enough.
Chapter Four
The next night, the four Princes left the inn together to the hospital. Dr. Reynolds, who was ending his shift, nodded at them and told the overnight nurses that they were helping with the investigation.
"Princes, this is Noele Nilakashi, our best registered nuse," he pointed to a black-haired blue-eyed girl, who smiled, "Auriel Dawson, another registered nuse," a black girl with braids waved, "and, finally, Jaydee Colt, a licensed nurse." A brunette nodded, smiling. Dr. Reynolds slung his bag over his shoulder. "Now, I hope you find something and stop these attacks from getting worse." He then left.
Auriel stood from behind the nurse's station, smiling. "Well, you don't really need us, but if you do, feel free to come to the station and page us. Noele usually stays here and does paperwork, but Jaydee and I go around to make sure everyone is fine."
The Princes decided to split up into two groups (Remus with Sirius and James with Severus) and they went down different wings.
Remus and Sirius entered a room with a middle-aged woman who had gotten bitten around her neck and shoulder area. Her dark hair was lightly peppered with gray and her face already started to form wrinkles. The patient stared at the two with dark eyes.
"Hello Miss Georgina," Sirius said with a smile. "I am Prince Sirius and this is Prince Remus. We're here to visit the victims of these vicious attacks."
Georgina flinched, fear flickering in her eyes but was more prominent in her scent.
Remus bent down, his eyes gentle. "Can you tell us what you saw, mademoiselle?"
She mumbled something under her breath but the vampires managed to pick it up. "Large canine... forest... gold eyes... big teeth..."
Sounds like a werewolf, Remus said to Sirius.
It does. Well, at least we know what it is. Do you reckon that one of the villagers is a werewolf and is behind all this?
Probably, Padfoot. It would seem like the best idea, but there are other neighboring towns through the forest that surrounds a good half of the town.
"Gray, black, white, mixed.... pretty dog...."
Now we know what it looks like. This should be easy.
Werewolves can transform outside the full moon only if something goes terribly wrong. For example, if a werewolf lost its mate, the wolf inside the man would go insane and take over the grieving human, transforming every night to slake its killing rage.
"Merci, mademoiselle," Remus whispered, grabbing her hand and squeezing it before leaving the room. ------------ Brayden was in her office, working on her paperwork when she heard a scratch outside her window. Her light blue eyes stared at the wall, frowning. This wasn't the first time she heard the scratches. Everytime she looked, she found nothing and she brushed it off as the tree branches scraping across the sides of the building. However, when she returned to her work, the scratches became more insistant.
"All right," she sighed. She got up and peered out the window. Her mouth fell open and her eyes went wide in shock as she caught the familiar sight of a large wolf. "Oh my word... Kyle?"
She left her office and went out the backdoor, where the wolf stood, tail wagging happily.
"Kyle?" The wolf yipped, tail wagging harder. "What the devil are you doing here?"
Within a few seconds, the wolf turned into a man she almost no longer recognized. Kyle used to have short tawny hair with sparkling green eyes and a beautiful tan. But now, he was extremely pale, almost like the Princes, his tawny hair slid down his back in snarls, and his green eyes were dark.
"Hello Brayden," he said in a rough voice, as though he had never used it in a long time.
"God, what happened to you?"
He smiled, revealing wolf-like teeth. "You really want to know?"
Brayden took a step back, feeling her heart race in panic. This was not the Kyle she remembered.
"I'll tell you what happened." He pressed closer, his hot breath nearing her skin. "You happened. When you broke up with me, my wolf was in agony. I tried begging you and you still didn't listen. When I entered the woods, I waited until the moon rose that night and howled my grief. As I grieved, the wolf took over. That has happened every night."
"Oh God. You are the one who has been attacking the villagers, aren't you?"
Kyle grinned, baring his teeth. "Clever girl. Yes, I have been, under the direction of my wolf and my Master."
"What master?"
He laughed. "Oh, you'll see, my sweet." He then moved forward again, pressing her against the wall. "Christ, you still smell the same, after all these years." He sniffed close to her skin and flicked a thick tongue out to taste her.
"Get your filthy paws off me, Kyle Vance, or I'll scream."
"Go ahead and scream, mate. I definitely like the screamers." He brushed his fangs along her throat and Brayden let a reluctant moan slip. It awoke old feelings, of when Kyle used to run his fangs over her while they were making love around a full moon. "Don't worry about me turning you, yet. I need you alive for my Master to bless our union."
"Union? You mean...?"
He grinned at her. "That's right. He's going to bind us together. Then I'll bite you, turn you, and we could create a pack together of full-blooded werewolves." He leaned down and picked up a rock. "I am sorry for what I have to do now, but you'll forgive me later when you are begging for me."
Kyle brought the rock down hard on her forehead and knocked Brayden out. --------------- "What do you mean she's gone?"
The Princes shared confused looks as they entered the inn a few hours before sunrise. Andreas and Harrison were backed against a wall by three angry women.
"What is going on here?" James asked, getting the womens' attention.
"Brayden went missing," Lily said. "She's not around the inn or in town."
Remus felt his heart stop. Brayden was gone? His Brayden?
"All I could tell was that she went out the backdoor and her scent vanished," Harrison replied quickly, "but I picked up another scent. The scent of another werewolf."
"Shit," Sirius hissed. He turned to his fellow Knights. "She could be the next victim of our killer."
"Wait!" Amaryllis said, looking pale. "A werewolf is the one responsible for all the injuries?"
"Yes, but don't worry. Your townspeople won't turn into furry creatures under the full moon," James replied, winking. Then he sobered up. "We need to get our gear and follow the scent. Harrison, can you point us to where you last saw her after we come down?"
The German nodded. "Of course." --------------

*evil laugh* Bet you were not suspecting Kyle at all. I just had to add him back in. Anyway, let's jump right into chapter five, shall we?
Chapter Five
Remus put on his armor with machinelike movements, barely registering that he was doing it. All he could think about was Brayden and what she was going through. A werewolf could be one sadistic bastard, especially one who surrendered to his wolf completely. Hang on, Brayden, we're coming for you, he thought, tears sparkling in his eyes.
Remus?
He stilled, his helmet in hand. Brayden?
H-how is this possible? I have never shown any kind of telepathic ability in my life.
Let us worry about that later. Tell me what happened. Who has you? Where are you?
Remus felt his heart ache at the sounds of her sobs. Remus, it's Kyle, my ex-fiance. He's a werewolf and he has me. He's turned rogue since I broke up with him. I-I think we're still in the forest but he knocked me out before I could see where we were going. She paused. Do you think you could see through my eyes? I mean, if we are connected...
Let me try. It might feel weird but don't fight me. I won't hurt you, not ever.
Remus took in a deep breath and mentally followed the link to his mate. He slowly took control of her body, smiling when he didn't feel the resistance he normally felt. He opened her eyes and looked at his surroundings. They were in a forest, alright. It looked like the same one that lines Georgetown.
Thanks, love, for letting me do this, he said to her, filling her with warm feelings. We're coming for you. Just stay put.
Hurry. Kyle has plans for me, Remus. He's gonna force me into a bond and make me into a werewolf.
The vampire felt a rush of uncontrollable rage at Kyle. We'll take care of him. Don't worry. He then left her body and returned to his.
"Finally you came back," Sirius grumbled next to him. "Where were you?"
Remus blinked at his fellow vampires. He licked his lips. "I know where Brayden is and who has her."
Severus was the first one to curse. "Let me guess," he replied, "you and Brayden have a bond."
"That is correct and it has enabled me to be able to find her. I told her that we were coming to get her and to stay put. Before I left, she told me that her ex-fiance, Kyle, who is a werewolf, is planning something for her. He plans to take her as his mate and change her into what he is."
"Shit," Sirius said. "Don't worry, Rem, we'll get there in time. We'll save your mate." ------------- The Princes climbed downstairs and were surprised to see Amaryllis, Geneva, and Lily dressed in chainmill with different color dresses over it. They even had knives and bows and arrows.
"What is this?" James asked Lily, who was dressed in green.
"What do you think? We're going with you." Lily smiled at their looks. "I bet you thought we would let you ride off with our friend out there, being tortured or even possibly dying."
"She's not dead nor is she being tortured," Remus said, his throat tightening at the thought of Brayden even being tortured. "I've had contact with her."
"How?" Amaryllis demanded.
Harrison sighed. "The only way a vampire can even contact a mortal is if they have a bond, the vampire and the mortal. This bond is mostly known as a mate bond. So, in other words, Remus and Brayden are mates now." There was a slight bitterness to his voice.
Gen shot Severus a look before shoving a knife into a sheath on her waist. "No matter what, we're still going and that's final. We know some things about combat, so we can defend ourselves."
Andreas smiled. "No need to convince us, little one."
Gen opened her mouth but Severus shook his head at her. To everyone's astonishment, she didn't say a word. Andreas and Harrison grinned.
"Let's get going, then," Amaryllis said, making sure her knives were in place. Lily slung a pack of arrows around her shoulder and carried her bow. -------------- Brayden was still confused as to why she could talk to Remus in her head. Was it because she and Remus started to grow closer?
"Soon, my sweet," Kyle was saying, laying beside her, stroking her face with a finger. "We'll be together and we'll populate the world with a new breed of werewolves. Also, another good thing about werewolves, as you know, is that we live long lives." He leaned closer and ran his tongue down her face.
Please hurry, Remus, she thought, closing her eyes. I think it might start soon.
We're on our way, Remus responded. Your friends are tailing us. Do I need to ask if you have followed in their footsteps?
She giggled. No. I only know how to use a bow and arrow and how to get myself out of situations. I am not like the others otherwise. She laughed when she heard a sigh of relief.
Just hang on, mon amour. -------------

*sigh* my original copy got lost and so I have to update again, with a slightly different version. I hate this site sometimes. The original was very long, but my patience is worn thin. Sorry, guys.
Chapter Six
Brayden tested her bonds that tied her to a tree while another werewolf, a young girl who was naked as she was, was painting swirling designs on her body in a light brown paint. She watched the paintbrush's strokes as the girl painted around her bellybutton.
"What is your name?" Brayden asked, forcing a smile on her face. "Since Kyle and I are to be bonded, I would like to get to know you."
The girl smiled. "My name is Natasha."
The innkeeper smiled widely. "So, what is the meaning of the designs?"
"It's to show that you are bound to someone. Also, they help in the binding ceremony." The girl looked up, staring into Brayden's blue eyes. "You are lucky, you know. A lot of female wolves have wanted Kyle's attention but he had you in his sights only. You should be proud. He's so in love with you."
Yeah, right she thought. ------------- The vampires split up, Sirius, Severus, and James having one of the women riding with them. Andreas, Harrison, and Remus were alone. They decided that they would attack the wolves, Harrison would save Brayden, and they all would meet back at the inn.
Vance is mine, Remus snarled, his fury burning bright.
Remus...
No, Andreas. I must kill him myself. He took my mate from me. It is only fair...
Andreas sighed. Fine. --------------- As Natasha continued to paint the designs on Brayden's feet (she was trying hard not to laugh as the brush tickled her), a tall naked male entered the clearing. Brayden turned away, blushing, while the girl looked up.
"You almost done, Tasha? I already have Kyle prepared."
Natasha smiled. "I'm almost done, Tim. Just a couple strokes."
The man nodded. "Good." He leaned against a tree, watching her. "Kyle is very lucky to have such a beautiful woman as you, Brayden. If he were out of the picture..." He smiled.
Brayden kept her gaze away. Natasha finished and she stood up, holding the pot that was filled with the mixture. The two moved away, leaving her alone.
Please hurry, Remus, she thought. I've got only two hours left.
We've just entered the forest, mon amour, Remus said gently. Harrison is going to save you and take you back to the inn. The rest of us will join you later.
Brayden felt her heart race. Be careful, Remus. I don't want to lose you when I just found you.
Don't worry. I'll be there.
She let out a sigh and tested her bonds once more. Look for a clearing with several logs around, circling the enclosing. I am tied to a tree.
I'll pass that along. Please hold on, mon cherie. ---------------- The two werewolves, Natasha and Tim, came back few moments later. They were still naked and they leaned against some trees, talking quietly. Brayden stiffened and she watched them.
Suddenly, they dropped to their knees, putting their hands over their ears. Brayden was confused until she saw Harrison come out, a flute pressed to his lips.
Only supernaturals can hear it, Remus explained.
I figured.
Harrison dropped down from his horse and instantly beheaded the two werewolves with his silver sword. He then hurried over to her and helped her out of the ropes.
"Are you alright, liebchen?" he asked, worry and concern in his voice.
"I am now that you are here," she said, rubbing her wrists.
"Now, now, where do you think you are going?" ------------- Remus unsheathed his sword and swiftly beheaded the werewolves in his path. He barely registered that his fellow Knights were there too. He was too busy thinking about his mate and if Harrison had gotten her to safety. It was too bad that Harrison was a werewolf or he would ask if Brayden was alright.
I'm sure she's fine, Sirius replied. She's a tough girl.
Yeah, Remus said. He took down another werewolf, who screamed. ------------------ Brayden cried out as Harrison was thrown away from her, only to have Kyle's naked body press down on top of her. He had the same designs on his body as well, even on his erection, which was poking her in the stomach.
"Now, that he is out of the way," a masculine voice said. "Let us begin." He began to chant in Gaelic, his British accent pronounced.
Brayden cried out as she felt fire lace across her skin. The markings were glowing a dull gold color. It was like they were burning into her. She looked up at Kyle and gasped. His green eyes were now amber and as he grinned, she saw his teeth lengthen and sharpen. His skin was growing fur and his fingers were curling into claws. She knew that he would only use his half form for the ritual, but would mate with her as a full wolf later. She felt sick.
Kyle leaned down and ran his fangs along her shoulder, making her cry out. He grinned and he sank his teeth into her. Brayden bucked but it was no use. He had her pinned down.
The man had stopped chanting and was now smiling at them. Brayden could see that the man had shoulder-length black hair and brilliant green eyes. He was dressed as though he should be at a meeting instead of a mating ritual.
"You are now bound," he said. "May the heavens bless your union." He turned and vanished.
Just as she began to give up and give in, Kyle was instantly ripped away from her. She looked up and gasped. Remus looked feral. His lips were peeled back to reveal his fully extended fangs, the tips just slightly lower than his lower lip. His pupils were a bright red and his fingers curved into claws.
When he didn't see Kyle, the vampire went down on his knees next to Brayden and he held her.
"You're safe now," he whispered, rubbing her back.
She cried against him, not caring about the cold metal of his armor brushing her fevered skin. She noticed that the markings hadn't gone away.
"You're bleeding."
He pulled back to look at her. Though his claws and reddish pupils were gone, his fangs weren't. Not that she cared.
"May I..." he licked his lips. "May I clean your wound?"
"How?" she asked.
"My saliva has healing properties."
Brayden thought about it, then she nodded. She tried not to moan as his tongue, silky and warm, lapped at the blood on her shoulder.
Remus moaned at the taste of her. She was sweeter than he thought. He licked the blood away and spread his saliva across the wound.
A loud roar pulled both of them back to reality. Vance stood by a tree, in his half form, growling. He rushed forward and pushed Remus away from her. Brayden backed up, fear playing across her face.
Get out of here, Brayden! Remus screamed in her mind. Take my horse and go back to the inn and wait for me there.
I won't leave you, she whispered.
Remus shoved Vance into a tree, snarling and baring his fangs. Please go, mon cherie. I can't fight him with you here.
That finally got her going. With a sigh, she got up and walked over to the horse. She mounted it and, grasping the reins, left.
Vance laughed as she left, causing Remus to turn his attention to the werewolf. "She won't last long if you kill me."
"Wanna bet?" Remus snarled.
"She's tied to me, Lupin. If I die, she will go insane in little under two hours. And, don't forget, she was bitten by me. She is infected with lycanthropy."
"You lie," the vampire hissed.
Vance raised an eyebrow, having transformed back to his human form. "Do you want to gamble with her life like that?" -------------- is Vance right? Is Brayden infected and will go insane if he dies?
Like I said, this would have been longer if I had the original copy, which I don't. That one was much more detailed. Oh well. This works too
