Simple Miracles
Allie Diggory couldn't be any happier. The Dark Lord Voldemort was destroyed by both her and her brother, Harry Potter. There were several losses to the Light, but somehow everyone managed to move on with their lives. A memorial was placed in the cementry located in Godric's Hollow, where James and Lily Potter were laid to rest.
Just recently, Allie and Cedric had given life to their second child, Raleigh Diggory. Raleigh was released with a clean bill of health and her older brother, Marcus, got to see his new baby sister. The two-year-old had stared at her with fascination and awe as the little baby slept inside a soft pink blanket.
Her friends and family had come to see the new child as soon as they could. The first ones to see her were Allie's godfather, Sirius Black, and honorary uncle, Remus Lupin. They told her how proud they were of her, to have given birth to such a beautiful baby. The next ones to visit were Patricia Malfoy with her family (Draco and their twin girls Ava and Viola) and most of the Weasleys. The only Weasleys that were absent were Ron and Christina Weasley, both of whom were lost to the war, but their children (twins Ryan and Brian and daughter Vivian) had lived on. At the moment, Remus, Christina's father, and Molly, Ron's mother, took shifts in caring for the children.
Every year, the survivors of the war went to Godric's Hollow to celebrate and mourn the lives of those that were lost to the war. Memories were revisited and tears were shed, along with lots of laughs.
"Mommy?"
Allie glanced down at Marcus, who blinked up at her. "Yes, Marcus?"
"Is today the memory?"
"Memorial," came a voice from the doorway. Allie and Marcus smiled at Cedric, who smiled back at them. "And yes, today we will visit the memorial."
"Yes! I can see Uncle Ron and Auntie Tina!" Marcus ran from the room with incredible speed that made his parents chuckle. "And Granma and Grandad!"
Cedric put his arms around his wife, knowing how torn apart she really was. Allie had never liked going to the memorial, as it reminded her of all of the lost lives, especially those of Ron and Christina. She had felt the most responsible for their deaths, as she could have prevented them from dying.
"It's not your fault, love," he said into her ear.
"Yes it is," she whispered. "Christina was within inches of me, Ced. Inches. I could have blocked that thrice damned Silver Arrow curse from hitting her. I could have saved Ron from losing his mind to the Cruciatus curse." Tears ran unchecked down her face.
"No. You were weak from being under the Imperius, from when Voldemort had used you to destroy the hope for the Light. Thank Merlin for your brother, who managed to bring you back before you committed more crimes."
Allie snuggled close, feeding off of his love greedily. She knew she would need it to be strong for the memorial.
"Mommy! Daddy! Hurry up!"
Allie and Cedric chuckled and got up from the bed.

The Diggorys Apparated to the cementry to already see Remus and his grandchildren standing there. Ever since the death of his daughter and son-in-law, the werewolf's hair had rapidly turned gray and several lines appeared on his face. Although he enjoyed raising his grandchildren, he still missed his daughter.
"Allie, Cedric," he said hoarsely, pulling them into a hug. "And hello to Marcus and Raleigh."
"Uncle Moony!" Marcus shouted, hugging the man's leg. Raleigh gave a happy gurgle.
"Hey Brian, Ryan, and Vivian," Allie said, kneeling down to hug the three-year-old twins and their two-year-old sister.
"Hi Auntie Allie, Uncle Cedric," Brian said happily. Ryan just smiled and Vivian bounded toward Marcus. Marcus and Vivian became great friends ever since they were born and that left the adults to wonder if they would ever fall in love when they were older.
"How're you holding up Remus?" Cedric asked as Allie took the children to the park nearby.
Remus heaved a sigh and put his hands in his pockets. "As well as I can, Cedric. Raising my grandchildren is amazing, but..." He glancec wistfully at the large statue in the middle of the graveyard.
"But you want to see Christina again," Cedric finished.
"Yes." The older man wiped tears away from his face. "That I do. More than anything."

The rest of the day was spent remembering the fallen victims of the second war. What the living didn't know was that the souls of the dead were with them that day, smiling happily. Ron and Christina happened to be the most proud, knowing that their children were growing in a happy and safe world.
