woot! Two chappies in one day. I thank my muse for that.
Chapter Eight
Harry knew that some people were being sent to pick him up but he never knew what time or what day. He hoped soon or else he would be at the mercy of his uncle. Uncle Vernon's company had put the man on probation, to decide if he was going to be laid off or not. Oh, Uncle Vernon was not happy about that and somehow thought Harry had something to do with it.
He was rubbing his sore neck from when his uncle had attempted to strangle him. Aunt Petunia had interrupted, shrieking that she wouldn't want the 'freaks' to find Harry dead. However, it left dark bruises on his neck and he was sure that the Dursleys would be punished.
Harry was beginning to drift off to sleep when he heard a plate shatter from down in the kitchen. Instantly alert, he jumped up from where he sat on his bed, his hand going back for his wand. His relatives were gone to some sort of award for having the best kept lawn in the area (all due to Harry's work, though they wouldn't say that). He unlocked his door and inched stealthly along the hallway and to the stairs.
"Couldn't you be more quieter, Tonks?" a voice hissed from the kitchen.
"Sorry! I'll fix it." a young female voice answered.
"You better, Nymphadora, or else the boy will think that there are robbers in his house," a sarcastic female voice said. There was silence before Harry heard a loud smacking noise. "Ouch! Bloody hell, Shacklebolt, what was that for?"
"Keep your voice down, Harrison," a deep voice, supposedly Shacklebolt, said.
Harry was nearly down the stairs when a group of people exited the kitchen and stopped when they saw him. A young female had lit her wand and was now pointing it in his direction. She had long purple hair that framed a heart-shaped face.
"Wotcher, Harry!" she said. Harry assumed that this was Tonks. "You look like just what I thought you would! Sorry about the commotion you heard earlier."
"That's alright," he said carefully, eyeing the group. "You're here to pick me up, then?"
"He's a smart one," said the sarcastic voice he had heard earlier. He turned to look at an average-sized woman with short black hair and dark black eyes that reminded him of Snape. "I guess that is a good thing, or else the entire world is doomed."
"Don't mind her, Harry," said another female. This one was slightly taller than the other woman, with long blonde hair and blue-gray eyes. "She's just in a bad mood, that's all. I can't understand why, though."
The other woman snorted.
"Anyway," said Remus Lupin, who stood next to the third woman. Harry thought he saw him holding onto her hand. "You should get your stuff. Tonks, go help him."
Just as Tonks was following Harry up, the blonde-haired witch hurried after them along with another female with shoulder length brown hair and green eyes, almost like his.
"Just as precaution," said the green-eyed witch. "You never know, Tonks."
"Right," said Tonks. "I'm not offended, really."
"Good."
The four reached Harry's room and the three women looked around disdainfully. It was quite small and didn't look as nice as the other rooms.
"You actually lived here for almost fifteen years?" the brown-haired witch said.
"Yeah," Harry said, not wanting them to know about how he spent most of his life in a cupboard.
"But there's other nicer rooms," the blonde said, her fingers tracing a picture he had drawn of his owl. "This isn't enough space for a growing boy of your age. Hell, even my own daughter, who is your age, has a bigger room than this."
"That's because you spoil her, Lynn," the other witch replied, amused.
Lynn blushed. Tonks giggled and helped Harry pack his stuff while the other two took stuff down.
"Hang on," the brown witch said abruptly. She was staring at his neck. "What are those?" She fingered his bruises.
"Nothing," the teen replied quickly. Too quickly.
"Those looks like handprints," Lynn said, examining them. "Did someone attempt to strangle you at all today, Harry?"
He was shaking his head, eyeing the blonde. She leaned forward and sniffed extremely close to his bruises.
"Caelyn Andrea Gray-Black, honestly," the other witch said. She sighed. "Sorry, Harry. She's a born werewolf and she's just as curious as to how you got those bruises."
Caelyn pulled back, growling low in her throat. Harry saw amber flecks flash in her pretty eyes.
"Vernon is gonna pay for that," she growled. The other witch stilled, a hard look forming across her face.
"Good thing I sent them off then, huh?" Tonks said nervously, shoving more books into his trunk.
"Very," Caelyn replied. She looked to Harry. "And I'm sorry about earlier. I knew you were lying and I wanted to see who had done it."
"It's alright." He glanced to the brown-haired witch, who was pacing. "Who is that?"
The werewolf looked to her friend. "That, Harry, is Alexandra Issacs. She was friends with me, the other witch downstairs, and your mother."
Harry gasped.
"But now's not the time," Caelyn added quickly. "We need to get you out of here, since the Dark Lord knows of your presence here." ~*~*~*~ Caelyn, Alex, Tonks, and Harry went down the stairs and followed the others out onto the lawn, ready to go. Everyone had their brooms out and ready to mount.
"Are those two together?" Harry asked Alex, pointing towards Lupin and Caelyn.
She smirked. "They're mates, Harry. They were seperated for years but they came back together recently."
"There's the signal!" Lupin called, pointing to the sky. There was red sparks in the sky.
Harry mounted his broom as did everyone else.
"Don't break ranks for anything," Shacklebolt said loudly. "Gray, you take rank above Harry, Harrison you are below, Issacs and I will take either side, Hestia will follow after Harry, Tonks will lead with Remus."
Caelyn glared when she saw Tonks brighten at that thought. She knew that the younger witch was happy about the way things turned out.
"Let's go!" Lupin yelled again when he saw green sparks.
Harry kicked off with the others, feeling awkward with the adults flying all around him. ~*~*~*~ next chappie will have the Order meeting, Harry seeing his friends and yelling at them, and Harry learns more about the three women who claim to have known his mother, especially about Alex

here we go!
Chapter Nine
Harry landed with the others in a small deserted park. He watched as Tonks fell over her broom and ended up in Lupin's arms. He swore he heard Caelyn growl deeply at the two. Alex and the black-haired witch shared an amused look before wrapping their arms around her shoulders and pulled her toward a row of squished houses.
Shacklebolt shoved a slip of paper into Harry's hands. "Memorize this quick, Harry."
Harry read what was scrawled on the parchment (Headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix can be found at Number 12, Grimmauld Place) and felt confused.
"What is the Order...?"
"Not here," Alex called back.
"Did you memorize what it said?" Lupin said softly as Shacklebolt burned the parchment. Harry nodded and thought about the message. His jaw dropped when he saw another house materialized in between the other houses. "Go in. Molly will point you in the right direction to your room."
The last thing Harry saw before he entered the house was Lupin walking up to Caelyn and kissed her passionately in front of Tonks, who looked heartbroken. Alex and the other witch laughed and wolf-whistled. ~*~*~*~ short but something for now

thanks... I kinda have some troubles getting ideas for chapter ten at the moment, so bear with me. I'm kinda more focused on my ff.net stories, since people keep reading and reviewing them a lot.

here is chapter ten, since I am in such a writing mood. I already updated my two fanfics on ff.net and I have an idea for this story anyway.
Chapter Ten
Harry allowed Mrs. Weasley to direct him to his room and was about to enter it when he saw a large brown blur come straight at him and pull him into a hug.
"HARRY!" Hermione's voice screeched into his ear, making his ears ring. "Oh, how are you? Are you alright? We heard about the hearing..."
Harry actually had forgotten that. He was so wrapped up in trying to not get his uncle madder at him that he had forgotten the letter he had received about using magic in front of a Muggle (his cousin).
"Let him breathe, Hermione," Ron's voice said from the room. The tall, gangly red-head grinned over Hermione's bushy hair. -------------- Caelyn felt as if she was on cloud nine as Remus kissed her thoroughly in front of Tonks. She didn't know if it was for her benefit or to let the younger woman know that he had no interest in her. Or maybe it was both.
Rachel grinned at the couple and proceeded to head downstairs for the meeting, wanting to kiss her own boyfriend now. She was therefore shocked when she found herself pressed against the wall as Tonks brushed past, looking upset.
Remus pulled away from Caelyn, their foreheads pressed together as they tried to catch their breath. They weren't aware that the hall was now empty except for them until they heard shouts from above them.
"He must've hid his anger well," Caelyn whispered. "He didn't seem angry when we got him."
"Well, Dumbledore did forbid us to send him any kind of news," Remus answered just as softly. "It doesn't help that he has Lily's temper."
His mate shuddered. "I don't envy his friends then. Lily had quite a temper. So did James, if I think about it."
He kissed her one last time before heading downstairs. The female werewolf grinned happily and bounced after him. ------------- "We wanted to tell you, mate," Ron said. "But Dumbledore..."
"Made you promise not to," Harry finished angrily. "You've told me that several times already." He let out a sigh and dropped down onto his bed. "What do you know?"
"This is headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. It also happens to belong to Sirius," Hermione said, wringing her hands. "And, by extention, Caelyn Gray, since she married Sirius' younger brother."
"Sirius had a younger brother?" Harry asked, looking shocked.
"He did. Sirius didn't go into detail and neither did Caelyn, but he was killed for disobeying You-Know-Who's order. Anyway, the Order holds meetings here and some people stick around. So far, Sirius, Lupin, Caelyn, Rachel, and Naomi live here."
"Who is Rachel and Naomi?"
"Rachel is Caelyn and Alex's friend and Naomi is Caelyn and Lupin's daughter."
"I thought Caelyn married Sirius' brother?"
"She did, Harry, but she dated Lupin and Snape before she married him. They both broke up with her."
"Caelyn used to work for You-Know-Who also, along with Rachel," Ron said. "She told us that she only joined Him because she wanted revenge against Lupin and Snape. That's the only reason they were recruited into the Order. Hardly any of the Order trust them."
"I wouldn't blame them," Harry said. "Do you know anything about Alex?"
"Not much, other than she is a faithful Order member, married to Lucas Issacs, and knew your mother." Hermione said.
"She's related to James Potter too," Ron added.
"How?" Harry demanded. He had a relative other than Aunt Petunia?
Ron looked nervous. "She was his twin brother." ------------ and the shit hits the fan ^^

thanks, love. Here is the long-awaited chapter.
Chapter Eleven
Once the kids were allowed downstairs, Caelyn instantly knew that something was wrong. She knew because Harry had a strange look on his face and he was staring at Alex. I hope he hasn't found out about their relationship. I know Alex wants to tell him herself, she thought, biting her lip.
Alex turned around, smiling at her nephew. "Hey, Harry..."
"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, his voice a little shaky with emotion.
Oh no, the female werewolf thought as everyone went quiet and stared at the two Potters. Remus touched her hand gently.
Alex got a confused look on her face. "What are you talking about?"
Harry snorted. "You're just the same as the others, aren't you? You were told not to tell me anything, keep me in the dark for as long as possible." His face hardened. "Were you even going to tell me that you are my aunt? Were you even going to tell me at all?"
The older Potter paled and she gripped her chair. Lucas wrapped an arm around his wife and looked ready to catch her.
"Harry..." Caelyn spoke up, keeping her voice calm. "Alex wanted to tell you..."
"... but Dumbledore told her not to?" Harry finished. He waved a hand in the direction of his friends. "They said the same thing too. Why keep secrets from me?" He collapsed into a chair, looking lost. "All this time, I had a godfather and an aunt. I could have gone with them at any time, except for Sirius was in Azkaban. I could have been anywhere except the Dursleys."
"That's going to change," Lucas said a little too sharply. "Alex told me what happened and we're going to try our hardest to get you out of that hell hole."
"And you will see a whole lot more of me as well," Sirius said from the end of the table. "And Moony and his family too." He grinned down at his friend, Caelyn, and a blonde girl Harry took to be Naomi, their daughter.
"Of course," Remus said, playfully rolling his eyes.
All converstation ended when Mrs. Weasley announced dinner was ready. Caelyn and Alex jumped up to help and soon everyone was enjoying the hearty stew.
Conversations flew around the table about various topics. Remus, Caelyn, and Naomi were talking quietly about Hogwarts (Harry figured that Naomi would be joining him and his friends this year), Rachel and Sirius were too busy in each other to notice anything, and the others talked about other things.
"How old are you?" Harry asked Naomi, interrupting the conversation between the family.
"I'll be fifteen in August," she replied softly.
Before Harry could ask another question, the door to the kitchen opened. Professor Dumbledore entered, looking grim. Following him were two boys. One of them was Draco Malfoy but he looked a little different and the other was a boy with shoulder-length light brown hair with blue-gray eyes.
Both Caelyn and Rachel gasped, their eyes wide as they stared at the two boys.
"Oh, God," they whispered.
"Everyone," Dumbledore began. "I would like you to meet Draconius Harrison and Riley Black, sons of Rachel Harrison and Caelyn Black."
The entire room was silent, the Order and the kids looking at the boys intently. Caelyn stood up and walked around the table, heading toward the kid that looked like Lupin. She touched his hair and then his cheek. When it seemed that she knew he was real, the female werewolf let out a choked sob and pulled him forward into her arms.
"I thought he was dead," Harry heard Naomi reply to her father.
"Apparently he's not," Lupin said, looking pale.
Rachel, however, was not as slow as Caelyn was. She rushed forward and instantly pulled Draco into her arms, hugging him tightly.
"How did you find out who they were?" a black man with a deep voice, Harry recognized it as Shacklebolt, asked.
"Severus helped me brew a potion that found out who they were. It seems that Draco found Riley in an alley near Diagon Alley and became his friend. Later, Lucius owled me, saying that Draco looked different than normal, since his birthday was in June. I called Draco over and made him take a test. When he mentioned a boy that looked like the description of Riley Black, I asked him to bring him over," Dumbledore said, smiling at the scene in front of him.
"I thought you were dead," Caelyn said, pulling away from her embrace with Riley. "When you were taken from me..." She wiped the tears from her face. "Anyway, your father isn't truly dead, Riley, as you may know." She gestured to Remus and Riley nodded.
"Professor Dumbledore told me," he said, his voice a deep baritone. "He also said that I would be accepted to Hogwarts but that I would need tutors to help me get up to par on my magic, since all my life I was raised in the streets. That is, until Draco came." Riley smiled at Draco, who smiled back from his embrace with Rachel.
"I will leave you be," Dumbledore said. "I just wanted to deliver the boys safely." He vanished before Harry could say anything.
---------------- After dinner, Harry felt awkward with the silence that came afterward. The adults seemed a little nervous now.
Alex cleared her throat so the kids would look at her. "Um, there are a few things we do need to tell you kids. As you know, we are the Order of the Phoenix. Dumbledore founded this group during the last war, only we didn't have Caelyn and Rachel amongst us."
"We were once loyal Death Eaters," Caelyn picked up. She touched her goblet absently. "After everything we went through, we were branded in our seventh year. After we graduated, Rach and I immediately gave our services to the Dark Lord. We at first were nothing more than loyal Death Eaters, involved in the raids and everything."
"That changed quickly," Rachel added, seeing her friend stumble a bit. "The Dark Lord saw how talented we were and made us his most loyal. Caelyn, however, was his top supporter while I was there mostly for.... entertainment, as I am a Veela. Caelyn was the one who set up everything and she was pretty ruthless."
"Werewolves are, you know," the female werewolf mumbled. "Anyway, we were very close to the Dark Lord, up until the disappearances of our sons and the death of my husband, Regulus Black. By then, we began to lose trust and therefore were happy when He fell."
"Now we are dedicated to bringing him down," the other witch said, her face grim. "We alone know his true weaknesses and can help make sure that he never comes back again."
"So, you're loyal now to Dumbledore?" Hermione asked.
"In a manner," Rachel said. "We really don't trust a lot of people anymore, Miss Granger."
"Why is that?"
"We have had so much happen in our lives, during and after Hogwarts," Caelyn said grimly. "Both of our mates turned us down while we dated them, our sons disappeared while we were reassured that nothing would happen to them, and Regulus..." Her throat seemed to close up and she swallowed.
"Didn't he die because he failed to complete his mission?" Tonks asked.
"Shut up," Rachel hissed at the Metamorphmagus. "No one but Caelyn knows what happened and no one will be mentioning her deceased husband in front of her, understood?" She glanced around the table.
Everyone nodded and Remus pulled his mate closer, rubbing her arm. She let him, wanting to be comforted.
"Back to business," Alex said. "Anyway, we are a group dedicated to bringing Voldemort down for good. With two former Death Eaters at our side and with the help of a spy, we hope to learn more of Voldemort's weaknesses so he can be defeated for good." Her eyes went to Harry's for a second before they turned away.

Post by Mistress Wisewings on May 10, 2008 8:16:27 GMT -6
yes, I will keep up with WL as well. As it turns out, I do have an update for this story today. I might have something for WL. Chapter TwelveJust as the kids were ushered out of the kitchen by Molly Weasley, Alex and Lucas pulled Harry aside. Before the door closed behind them in the kitchen, Harry saw Draco walking up with Rachel and he also saw the four Lupins head to their room. Alex blew out a breath as the door closed and she leaned against the wall. "Listen, Harry... I was going to tell you tonight about our relationship. I had this whole speech planned. I just didn't expect for you to find out so quickly." Harry looked down at his sneakers. "Hermione was the one who told me." "I always knew that girl would be trouble," Lucas said with a slow grin. "Too smart for her own good." "Too much like Lynn," Harry's aunt grumbled. Her husband laughed. "So, am I going to go live with you?" Harry asked. Alex and Lucas exchanged glances before turning to their nephew. "We need to talk to Dumbledore about it, Harry," Lucas began, running a hand through his hair. "As much as we want to take you into our care immediately, it is Dumbledore's..." "I am so sick of hearing that Dumbledore needs to approve of something to do with me!" the teen snapped. "Why can't I have something I want, something that I have dreamed of for years? I don't understand why everything needs to be approved before it is handed to me!" The older woman looked upset. "I really wish we could take you, love. Luc and I have asked for several years to be your guardians, but Dumbledore refused." "It's only because of the blood wards that you have been staying at the Dursleys," Harry's uncle added with a scowl. "Because Petunia is the link to Lily's blood and Lily was the one who sacrificed herself so you could live, you were sent there. James and Lily had named Alex or Sirius your guardian if something happened to them." "There is a longer list of potential guardians too but they were pushed aside. Petunia and her fat lard of a husband were never named your guardians at any point." ----------------- Draco followed his mother, his mind whirling rapidly. In a matter of minutes, he was told that his mother wasn't Narcissa Malfoy but that his father, Lucius, was still his father. Now, staring at Rachel's back, he could see how he was a lot like her. Lucius never had an ounce of Veela blood in his blood and neither did Narcissa, so it was a shock when they found out their son had Veela blood. He hid a smile when he thought of the beautiful boy he rescued in Muggle London. Draco knew by the scent of the boy, now Riley, that he was his mate. Rachel finally reached the door to her room and ushered him in. She closed the door behind her and turned to look at him. "Merlin," she breathed. "You really are Lucius' son. Lynn, your godmother, and I thought you would at least have some of my features." Draco raised an eyebrow at his mother. "And do I?" She smiled slightly. "Some. You have my nose and my eyes." "And the Veela heritage," he added. Rachel giggled slightly. "That you do. I bet Luc and his bitch- I mean Narcissa- were shocked about that." Her giggle turned into a laugh as her son nodded. "Anyway, I also want you to know that I will be teaching you how to be a Veela and how to suppress the side effects that could get you into trouble, especially with your mate." "I found him." The older Veela looked shocked. "Your mate? And... him?" He blushed. "I-I found out last year that I am into guys. And yes, I found him." A slow grin spread on his mother's face. "It's Riley, isn't it?" Draco blushed harder. Rachel let out a squeal and hugged her son. "I'm so happy for you! I always knew that you and Riley had some sort of connection when you were younger, and I was proven right!" ---------------- Riley couldn't believe how his luck had turned out. As far as he had known, he had no parents. The man who raised him told him that much, every night that he beat the younger boy. Now, he found out that he had parents and a sister. Not to mention that he was a werewolf and the blonde boy, Draco, was his mate. Gods, did that boy smell intoxicating! "Riley?" He snapped out of his thoughts and looked up at his parents, who had now entered their bedroom and was waiting for him. Naomi, his sister, was at his side, looking concerned. "M'fine," he mumbled, smiling slightly. He entered the room with Naomi following. "It's just.... it takes time getting used to this, having people care and knowing that my parents are alive." "You were told that we were dead?" Remus asked, sitting down next to his mate on the bed. "I was told that I had no parents, so therefore dead. The man who raised me told me that often." "You were raised on the streets," Naomi breathed, her eyes wide. Riley nodded. "Yeah. I was found in a dumpster. I originally went to an orphanage but the place burned down and I was taken in by the man who taught me everything." He let out a breath. "You aren't going back to the streets any more, son," Caelyn growled, her eyes flashing a bright gold color. "You belong to us now, where you should have been." Remus nodded, an arm snaking around her waist. The younger werewolf grinned happily and was pulled into a hug by his family. He finally got what he had always wished for. He just hoped that he could snag his mate, then he would be in heaven. --------------- that's it for now, kiddies.
