here we go with another chapter. Hope you like the little surprise I planted in it!
Chapter Seventeen
"Lynn, Rachel, can I talk to you two alone?" Alex asked. The kitchen was now empty except for those who were staying at Grimmauld Place.
"Sure," Caelyn said with a smile. She kissed Remus and ruffled Riley's hair, which he scowled at.
"It's messy as it is," he growled.
Naomi looked amused and she busied herself trying to fix her brother's hair. Draco held back a snicker.
Caelyn and Rachel followed their fellow Marauderette into an empty room. Rachel waved her wand and a fire crackled happily in the dusty fireplace.
"So," the veela replied, plopping down into one of the several armchairs in the room. "What do you want to talk to us about and not to anyone else?"
Alex shifted nervously. "Well, everyone else knows but I wanted to tell you privately. I know you would be very angry at me and I thought you wanted to be away from the others before you get angry."
"What makes you think we'll be angry?" the werewolf asked, raising one blonde eyebrow.
"I..." The wolf Animagus ran a hand through her hair. "You two aren't the only Marauderettes with children. Lucas and I have a son also."
Caelyn started smiling while Rachel's jaw dropped open.
"What is his name?" Caelyn asked.
"Arrik (said the same as Aric)."
"That's a beautiful name."
Rachel finally seemed to have gathered enough wits to say something. "You've had a kid all this time and you never told us?"
The werewolf smacked her friend over the head. "Rache, for a good majority of Arrik's life we have been either the Dark Lord's servants or in hiding." She turned back to Alex. "When was he born?"
"September of 1980."
"Well, Naomi will be happy to know that she isn't the youngest of the Marauderette's children."
Rachel snorted and Alex grinned.
"Arrik has been going to Hogwarts since he got accepted. He barely missed the deadline to go to Hogwarts the same time as Harry."
"Wait... does Harry know he has a cousin?" Rachel asked. "And what House is Arrik in?"
"Gryffindor and Harry does know that Arrik is his cousin. He's very excited."
"I would be too," Caelyn responded. "After all, all he has known for cousins was Dudley and he wasn't the greatest cousin in the world."
Alex growled. "That fat bastard. Petunia should have treated Harry with much more affection. I cannot believe that she is even remotely related to our Lily."
The two nodded in agreement.
------------
"What did Alex pull you aside for?" Sirius asked Rachel as he stood in the main hallway. Alex had rejoined with her husband and Caelyn went back to her mate, as the kids had wandered off.
"She told us about Arrik."
"Ah." He looked her in the eye. "How did you react to that?"
"I was shocked, to be truthful. At first, I was angry. I mean, how can she not tell us, even if we were evil. By Merlin, we were like sisters in school! But now, I am very happy for her and I cannot wait to meet him."
Sirius wrapped his arms around her. "You'll love him. He's a great kid. Arrik has a lot of his parent's traits in him."
Rachel stayed in his arms, her eyes closed. "I want to have another child, this time with you."
The dog Animagus froze. "What?"
She pulled back enough so she could look at him. "Sirius, I want to have a child with you. I already have one with Lucius..."
"Lucky bastard," he whispered under his breath, but his cheeks tinged pink.
Rachel studied him. "Are you jealous? Or..." She took a quick sniff around him and she grinned. "Oh Merlin... you never told me that you..."
He slapped a hand to her mouth and that got the others' attention.
"Sorry," he said to the others and he hauled her up the stairs to the room they have been sharing. Sirius put up Privacy Spells and he turned to her. "Don't tell the others, Rachel."
"Why? Are you afraid that you will be seen as a traitor? The Order knows that both Remus and Caelyn love Severus..."
"But he's on our side, Rache! Lucius isn't."
"You don't know that until you ask."
Sirius crossed his arms. "Then why don't you?"
Rachel froze. "What?"
"I want you to ask him, if he is on our side or not."
"Are you fucking serious?"
He smirked. "No, I..."
She held up a hand. "Don't finish that statement. You know what I mean."
"I do. But you should still ask him."
Rachel turned to leave the room but she turned around, with a smirk on her face. "Should I also ask him if he likes you?" She shut the door with supernatural speed as Sirius threw a shoe at the door.
-----------
Arrik Issacs arrived at Grimmauld Place the next day. Alex and Lucas had told their son to pack a bag for the summer and hurry over so he could meet his 'aunts'.
Caelyn and Rachel were waiting in the same room Alex had dragged them off the other day, staring at the fire. Even before Alex had turned the doorknob, Caelyn's heightened senses had picked up their arrival.
"You should know better than to sneak up on a werewolf, Fangs," she said to her friend, who let out a surprised squeak.
Lucas snickered. "I reckon Wisewings is right, love. Also, the full moon is in six days."
Rachel blushed and Caelyn knew that both her friends had forgotten. "It's okay to have forgotten, guys," she said, trying to soothe them.
Alex cleared her throat, having recovered. "Caelyn, Rachel, I want you to meet my son, Arrik Issacs."
Lucas helped usher in a tall good-looking kid. He seemed about Ron's height with Lucas' thick dark brown hair and Alex's blue eyes. (I forgot what color Alex's eyes are so I just will have them be blue)
Arrik smiled. "Hello."
Caelyn smiled back. "Nice to meet you at last, Arrik. I am Caelyn Black, widow of Regulus Black but mate to Remus Lupin and Severus Snape. I also have twins, Riley and Naomi."
Arrik wrinkled his nose a little. "Well.. I hope you and Professor Lupin will straighten him out. He's a right bastard."
Rachel snickered and he turned to her. "Oh, I'm Rachel Harrison and my mates are Sirius Black and Lucius Malfoy. I have a son named Draco."
"Yeah, I heard what happened to Mal... uh... Draco." Arrik turned to his mother. "Does this mean, if Caelyn and Rachel are my 'aunts', that he's my 'cousin'?"
The three Marauderettes giggled and Lucas looked amused at the look his son had on his face.
"In a way," Alex replied, trying to calm her laughter. "Now, why don't you go to the living room to join the kids while we go to the kitchen to talk?"
Arrik nodded. "Nice to meet you both," he said to the other two and he left the room.

whew... nice long chapter for you. the plot bunnies are docile enough for me to catch and they gave me some great ideas. Soon we'll do the full moon and we'll get the kids to school.
