well... I guess I could be okay with being demanded. Makes me happy. Chapter SixCaelyn paced by the gargoyle that blocked the entrance to Dumbledore's office. The rest of Remus' friends sat down on the floor and watched his girlfriend pace. "Would you stop that? You're making me dizzy," James said. He pretended to stop his head from spinning, making Sirius chuckle. She, however, didn't stop. In fact, it only made her pace even more. Caelyn knew that if she stopped pacing that she would break down. She didn't want to do that. "Caelyn, please," said Alex. "Either you continue to pace or I could take you outside." What she really had in mind was to let the werewolf transform and run in the forest so as to relieve the stress. The werewolf sighed. "All right. I'll go outside." Alex stood and wrapped an arm around her friend as they walked away. Just when they were out of sight, the gargoyle moved aside to reveal a distraught Remus and the Headmaster. "You are all excused from classes today. And tomorrow is the funeral." With that being said, Dumbledore made his way back up to his office, the gargoyle moving back to its original position. "Where's Caelyn?" Remus asked, his golden eyes glancing around. "Alex took her outside to relieve the stress she had." Rachel said, smiling grimly. "Is she alright?" he asked frantically, getting ready to dash outside if need be. Sirius placed a restraining hand on his friend's shoulder. "Let her be, mate. She was really worried about you and she paced the entire length of the hallway before Prongs' sister took her out." "Please..." he pleaded. "Just let me see her. I need to see her." James sighed. "I'll take him. Meet us back in Gryffindor tower." ~*~*~*~ Alex watched in awe as Caelyn swiftly transformed into a beautiful gray wolf. The wolf raised her snout and let out a mournful howl, one filled with pain and loss. The Potter girl felt her heart break as she listened to the song. The wolf stopped and she curled up into a ball on the ground, whimpering. Somehow, the other girl knew that she was crying in her wolf form. Alex closed her eyes and immediately became another wolf, this time a black one. She folded herself around the other wolf and comforted the werewolf. It was only when Alex heard the sounds of her brother and her friend's mate that she transformed back. She nudged the sleeping werewolf, who lazily opened her eyes. Caelyn gave her a glare before transforming back, with her clothes still on. "I bet every werewolf now will be jealous of your talent," said Alex with an amused smile. "I bet," replied Caelyn before standing, brushing off the leaves from her clothes. "We might as well stay here until they come. If I know Remus, he would be able to scent me and find me here." ~*~*~*~ Remus followed the trail of his mate's scent into the outer rim of the Forbidden Forest. He let out a sigh when he saw his mate, not even noticing Alex Potter who was still on the ground. He walked over to her and grabbed her into a hug, burying his nose into her hair. "Don't scare me like that," he whispered into her ear. "When I didn't see you down there....after I came back...." Remus let out a breath and pulled his face away to look into her beautiful blue-gray eyes. "I love you, Caelyn Andrea Gray." She gave a smile despite the tears that glistened in her eyes. She always loved it when he told her that he loved her. "And I love you too, Remus Jonathan Lupin." They leaned forward and pressed their lips together in a sweet kiss. Mentally they both decided it was time to tell the other of thier condition someday. It would not be today, but sometime in the near future. ~*~*~*~*~ "The werewolf has a mate, my Lord." "Indeed? And who would that be?" came the high-pitched voice. Lucius Malfoy shivered. "Caelyn Gray." "Ah. Michael's daughter. It was a shame that Michael turned us away and tried to hide his child from us. But no matter. We will get to her and maybe convince that young werewolf as well. They both will be great assets to our side. Lucius, I have a plan for you. I want you to kidnap the girl and bring her here. Then you tell the werewolf, Lupin, where she is, that you saw who kidnapped her. Maybe he will be so distraught that he wouldn't smell her on you." ~*~*~*~*~ hehehe.... now i must continue, shouldn't I? Mustn't leave you hanging again

Chapter Seven
Once again, Remus never let his mate from his sight. Those who didn't know that he was a werewolf thought it was adorable and sweet that he was with his girlfriend. To those who knew he was a werewolf, they knew that she was the only thing that made him sane. It seemed that her scent was the only thing that would calm him down and keep him from snapping.
Dumbledore had told the teachers that Remus and Caelyn were to be together in every class, seated next to each other. He explained the reason why and they immediately warmed up to the idea. Most of the professors liked both Caelyn and Remus but they didn't like the idea of putting them together, as they were a couple and mates.
Also, Dumbledore had allowed Caelyn to sleep in Remus' bed as well. He told her that Remus has been having nightmares and woke up muttering her name over and over again. She instantly agreed. So every night, Caelyn would sneak over to the boys' dormitories and slip into her mate's bed. He opened his eyes, looking slightly scared, but he instantly relaxed when she pressed herself against him, wrapping her arms around him. Remus nuzzled her head gently and she nuzzled back, her wolf recognizing the gesture.
They both slept with no nightmares and the Marauders finally got the sleep they needed.
On the night before the full moon, Caelyn slipped into Remus' bed again, knowing that the next night she wouldn't be sleeping with him. She wanted to tell him now, that she too was a werewolf and that she could comfort him in her wolf form too.
Remus sighed in contentment as his mate curled up against him. Tonight, though, his wolf had much more than sleep on his mind. He slid his golden eyes to meet his mate's blue-gray eyes and they held the stare. Caelyn knew what was going to happen next. She knew all to well what wolves did with their mates the day before the full moon.
He leaned forward and pulled her into a passionate kiss, taking the time to swing a leg over her body. She moaned into the kiss, running her hands over his bare back. (He sleeps with sleep pants on) Remus broke the kiss so he could slip her nightgown from her before diving back down, this time licking and nipping her neck.
"Remus," she sighed, turning her neck so that he could get better access.
He growled, knowing that with that movement that she was submitting to him, letting him take control. Remus bent down and bit the junction where her neck met her shoulder. She let out a soft howl, knowing that he had just staked his claim on her. And so she submitted to his every wish that night, mentally thanking herself for putting up silencing charms. ~*~*~*~ there we go.... and another chapter will be up after i take a little lunch break.
FYI: this story will continue onward after Remus breaks up with Caelyn. it will go through her relationship with Severus and Regulus, and also the time where she and Remus have sex while drunk, thus forming little Naomi.

here we go again.
Chapter Eight
Lucius Malfoy was nervous when he entered the Great Hall. He had never felt this nervous before when he got an assignment from his Master. But taking a wolf's mate away was pure suicidal. If Lupin ever knew who had truly taken Caelyn away when she disappeared, there would be hell to pay and he, Lucius Malfoy, would get it.
"What's with you Luc?" Bellatrix Black asked him as he took a seat straight across from her.
"None of your business," he snarled. He ignored their stares as he piled food onto his plate. ~*~*~*~*~ A loud crash woke James and Sirius from their sleep. They glanced at each other and then at Peter, who was already wake. He wore a look of terror.
"What is it?" Sirius asked, his voice thick with sleep.
"S-she's gone," he squeaked.
"Who?"
Peter swallowed. "C-C-Caelyn."
James yawned. "Come on, Wormtail. I'll bet she just went down to the Great Hall..."
"Remus already checked, J-James. She's n-not there. That loud crash you heard...that was him."
The two dark-haired Gryffindors exchanged glances again before jumping to their feet and dashed out of the dorm. It seemed that Peter was right. Remus was tearing apart the common room. James and Sirius couldn't see his face but they knew he was distraught.
"Have you seen her?" he asked them loudly.
"Not since last night," Sirius said grimly. "What happened?"
"She's gone. I checked everywhere I knew she would be but she's gone."
Footsteps jerked their attention to the two girls that descended the stairs. Lily and Alex stared at the scene with puzzled looks.
"What the... what happened here?" Alex asked.
It was then that Remus broke down. He fell to the ground, sobbing. Lily ran toward him, putting her arms around him. Alex turned to her brother and his friend.
"What happened?" she asked again.
"Caelyn went missing," said James quietly, not wanting Remus to overhear. "He has already began looking for her but has not seen her."
"We should all look for her," she replied. ~*~*~*~ Everyone was on high alert after breakfast was over. All of the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws searched high and low for Caelyn Gray. A few Hufflepuffs, including Rachel, joined the search as well, but no Slytherins helped.
When no one found her, Remus became frantic. He demanded that they look harder, that she had to be around the castle. "She has to be," he whispered, looking lost. ~*~*~*~ Caelyn groaned and rolled over. Her eyes flew open when she didn't feel a bed, or even her boyfriend. She got up slowly, taking in her surroundings.
She was in a dark cell with silver bars. It was too bad that the bars were pure silver, or she would have been able to get out. The cell had nothing there except a slab of metal that stuck out from the wall about two and a half feet from the ground and a toilet.
Where the hell am I? And where is Remus? she thought. ~*~*~*~

Chapter Nine
Caelyn paced the entire length of the cell, acting very much like a caged animal. She knew that by now the entire population at Hogwarts would be alerted to her disappearance. Her heartstrings tugged painfully as she thought of her mate and how he would be reacting. I wish I could somehow communicate with him and let him know that so far I am fine.
A door slammed shut, making her jump. Her gaze turned toward whoever had entered the room. Thanks to her night-vision, she could see who the person was. The man was extremely pale with no visible hair on his head and unusually bright crimson red eyes. Instead of a human nose there were nostrils that were slanted like those of a serpent. Hw wore a loose silk robe that covered his body.
"What do you want with me, serpent?" she growled.
"Why should I tell you that? Where would the fun be if I didn't tell you? It is amazing how the human brain works in which it can think of many horrifying scenarios."
She laughed mentally. Apparently Dumbledore did do his job and destroyed all of the records of what she was, otherwise this creature would understand that she didn't have a pure human brain.
"But aren't you human too?" she asked innocently. She could tell by his scent that he was a human and the reason for his appearance was partially due to a failed Animagus Transformation and also due to dealing with the Dark Arts too long.
He hissed in anger. "How dare you call me a mere human? I am Lord Voldemort."
Caelyn only raised her eyebrow. "You are the one everyone has been talking about?" She let her eyes run up and down his body. "Wow... and here I thought Voldemort would be... I don't know... more handsome with a black staff...."
She fell to her knees as Voldemort cast the Cruciatus Curse on her. Had she not had experience with this particular curse before she would be screaming and writhing in pain on the floor, but her wolf had a high tolerance for pain and so did she. ~*~*~*~*~ Dumbledore surveyed the group over the top of his half-moon glasses. Remus was slouching in a chair, staring absently at nothing, the other Marauders tried to grab his attention but failed, and the girls, Lily, Rachel, and Alex, tried to hold back their tears and frustrations.
"I know how hard it must be for you all," he began, "but I must ask that you do not continue your search for Miss Gray."
Every head, including Remus', met his gaze and they opened their mouths to protest. He raised a hand and their mouths shut, some with audible clicks.
"I know that Miss Gray means a lot of you," the older wizard glanced at Remus, "but I do not need anyone else kidnapped or worse, killed. I have already sent out a missing person's report to the Ministry and to some of my old friends and students. They will find her. In the meantime, please attend your classes and carry on as normal."
NORMAL! Remus wanted to scream. He felt as if he couldn't breathe, just like how he felt when he noticed his mate was gone. Oh how he wished he could transform into a wolf right now and try to track down her scent.
Once the Marauders and Marauderettes were outside of Dumbledore's office, the werewolf let out a scream and kicked at the stone gargoyle protecting the entrance to the headmaster's office. Arms grabbed at him but he shoved them away, continuing to kick the statue. The others could do nothing but watch as one of their own let out his frustration and loss. Even though everyone in the group liked Caelyn in their own way, it was nothing compared to how Remus cared for her. It was like she was his everything that kept him sane, that kept him alive. Now she was stolen from him and he crumbles, just like a stone that was exposed to acid rain. ~*~*~*~ Severus had a sneaky suspicion that something was wrong once he entered the Slytherin common room. He could tell that someone in the Slytherin House was the one who stole Caelyn from Hogwarts, from the werewolf. He made a mental promise to find out who did it so he could find where the Ravenclaw was taken to. Once he had her back, Severus would hurt whoever had taken the love of his life away. ~*~*~*~ I am gonna attempt within the rest of the book to have more romance with other characters. I kinda started Rachel/Peter a little a few chapters earlier with a hint of Sirius/Rachel and Lucius/Rachel. I will make up a character for Alex to be with and of course James/Lily will happen, but not until later.

Chapter Ten
Lily, Alex, and Rachel watched from their table as the Marauders gathered around another table to discuss something. Unfortunately, it looked like they were getting nowhere because their resident genius was not in the mood. Poor Remus, the girls thought mentally.
Ever since Caelyn had been kidnapped a few days ago, Remus did nothing. He didn't study, didn't sleep, didn't eat (though his friends pushed him enough to take a few bites, but that was about it). It was like he was an empty shell of his former self. His friends thought back to the snowball fight they had during winter break. They remembered how alive he was and how much he loved his girlfriend. Even a fool could tell how much in love Remus and Caelyn were ... all you had to do was look at their faces when they were around each other. Everyone would be surprised if they didn't marry later on in life.
James sighed and put the papers away, seeing that there was no progress to be made. His hazel eyes flicked over to his werewolf friend, who still continued to stare at the table, leaning forward in his chair with his arms wrapped around his waist.
"Come to think of it," said Rachel, looking thoughtful, "I now understand why some werewolves die early."
"Rachel!" Lily admonished, noticing that they now had the attention of the Marauders.
"What? I'm not trying to be morbid or mean. All I am saying is that I understand why werewolves die so early." She paused for dramatic effect. "Werewolves die when their mates are either dead or not with them. They only mate with one person for life. Once they hit puberty, they will automatically search for their mate. Their mate has a special scent that only the werewolf can smell. Then comes the claiming and stuff. Actually, I think a werewolf can have more than one mate..." She rubbed her chin.
"Enough Rachel," said Alex warily, glancing quickly to see if Remus was alright. "I think we should go down to the Hall and get something to eat."
Everyone rose and started to put their things away. Remus, however, continued to sit. When he felt a nudge on his shoulder, he rose automatically and left with them. ~*~*~*~ "Hello again, Miss Gray."
Caelyn opened her eyes to see Voldemort towering over her, a smirk on his lips.
"I found some interesting information about you last night. Apparently some time last year you went missing. No one knew where you went to, except you and Dumbledore. Fortunately, I have a few of my Death Eaters who had somehow regained their memories that were taken from them. It seems that you are a true werewolf, born from werewolf parents. Now, I knew your father at one point in time. I offered him freedom from ridcule if he gave me his service and loyalty."
"He would never join you," she spat.
"And he didn't. That is why your parents are no longer alive and you now live with his brother and his wife. Anyway..." He pulled out a silver cross. "I understand that one of a werewolf's weaknesses is silver."
Caelyn's eyes stared at the cross as he continued to talk. She had learned to block out his little speeches. The werewolf wondered what would happen if he just talked throughout a duel.
She was pulled from her thoughts when she felt a burning pain on her right arm. She let out a whimper and tried not to look at her arm, knowing what was happening.
"Unlike your father, you will have no choice but to bow to my wishes," Voldemort hissed in his high-pitched voice. "I can give you things that every werewolf would die for."
"I will never join you," she hissed back, her voice deepening slightly to a growl.
He let out a chuckle and withdrew something else from his robes. Caelyn let out a scream as whatever it was wrapped around her neck. ~*~*~*~

I'm on a roll! *dances*
Chapter Eleven
Alastor "Mad Eye" Moody gestured for his group of Aurors to be quiet as he studied the building towering over them. Riddle Manor had been abandoned ever since the terrific death of the entire family that once lived there. Some of Moody's informants told him that it was possible that Caelyn Gray could have been taken to the manor, since Voldemort was a Riddle.
"Once we get inside," Moody growled softly, "only Stun the Death Eaters. We are here to get Gray... we will return for the DE's later."
His troop nodded and they began to head toward the building's entrance. ~*~*~*~ Caelyn was glad when Voldemort left her barred room. It was bad enough when he was standing next to her. She rolled over, careful not to touch her wounds, and crawled over to the metal slab that served as a bed, climbing onto it.
She shivered when the cold metal came in contact with her skin and she pulled her ripped clothing as close to her body as she could. Vaguely she wondered what day it was. She had been in Voldemort's capture for what seemed like years but she knew that it wasn't the case.
Her blue-gray eyes flicked over to the door as she could hear a commotion outside. With her enhanced hearing she knew that someone had come to her rescue and whoever that was was fighting the Death Eaters. At last, she thought before she gave in to the darkness that had threatened to overwhelm her when she got her injuries. ~*~*~*~*~ "Moody has made contact with Riddle Manor."
"Thank you," Dumbledore said, letting go of the breath he never knew he held. He slumped in his chair, feeling slightly relieved. Earlier in the day, he had gotten a surprise visit from Regulus Black, a fourth year Slytherin and Sirius' brother. Apparently the Slytherin had overheard who had kidnapped young Caelyn and where he had taken her. In turn, Dumbledore relayed that information to the head Auror, Rufus Scrimgeour. ~*~*~*~ "Sirius?"
Sirius stiffened as he heard a familiar voice from behind him. He gritted his teeth.
"What do you want, Regulus?"
Regulus sighed. He knew this wasn't going to be easy. Ever since his older brother had gotten Sorted into Gryffindor, their parents have forbidden Regulus to associate himself with Sirius at any length. He obeyed, not wanting to go against his parents, but he still loved his brother.
"I have some news, regarding Caelyn Gray."
The Marauders and Marauderettes glanced at the younger boy. Even Remus looked interested.
The Slytherin took in a breath, glancing around nervously. "I overheard Lucius Malfoy talking about her yesterday. He pratically bragged about how easy it was to get her. Anyway, he took her to Riddle Manor in Little Hangleton. I have already told the headmaster and he assured me that the Aurors would take care of the situtation."
"Why are you telling us this information?" Rachel growled, glaring daggers at the kid. "For all we know, you could be lying."
He spread his hands out. "And that's alright with me. You can take the information however you want. At least my conscious will be clear." He began to walk away but turned around for one last comment. "Just so you know, Caelyn has become a really great friend to me. She is smart and caring. If I could, I would be over at Riddle Manor in a heartbeat, trying to save her." With that being said, Regulus left the library, leaving behind six stunned Gryffindors and one Hufflepuff. ~*~*~*~*~ Moody let out a breath when he caught sight of the unmoving body of Caelyn Gray. He pulled out a picture that he had gotten from Dumbledore and compared it to the girl. That's Gray alright.
"Is that... Michael Gray's daughter?" he heard one of his Aurors ask.
"Of course it is. Ivanson, pick her up. We need to leave before the Stunners wear off and You-Know-Who finds us."
Auror Ivanson nodded and gingerly took the werewolf into his arms. He had no time to look over her injuries as he followed his team through the Manor. ~*~*~*~*~ Dumbledore summoned the Marauders and Marauderettes into his office after dinner that evening. He proceeded to tell them that an anonymous source revealed who had taken Caelyn and where she was taken. He also told them that a group of Aurors were dispatched to the location and were attempting to rescue her.
He was interrupted when the fire turned an emerald green and a head popped into the fireplace. Lily, being the only one who had never seen this before, let out a scream. Alex shushed her and began to tell her what was going on.
"Dumbledore," said Scrimgeour. "I have good news. Mad-Eye and his team have made it out safely, along with Caelyn Gray. She is being admitted to St. Mungos Hospital for her injuries."
"How bad is she?"
"I don't know, Dumbledore." He sent the older wizard an apologetic look before his head disappeared from the fire.
Dumbledore glanced to the group of students who wore relieved looks. Remus looked more alive and aware now that he knew his mate was alright. ~*~*~*~*~ Poppy Pomfrey grumbled as she made her way to St. Mungos. She couldn't believe that Dumbledore didn't instantly snatch Caelyn Gray from the Aurors and give the girl over to her care. But no, she had to go get her and use a memory charm on those who have treated her. Besides, it wouldn't do good if they took a blood sample and realize that she is a true werewolf. That would blow up on our faces real fast.
"Hi," she said kindly to the receptionist at the front desk. "Can you please direct me to where a Caelyn Gray is residing?"
"And you are?" the receptionist asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I am her aunt, Katherine," Poppy lied. Dumbledore had used a glamour charm so Poppy could get to Caelyn faster.
"Alright. She is on the second floor, in the ICU."
"Thank you so much." She set off in the direction of the ICU. Poppy knew where that was, since she visited the hospital plenty of times. ~*~*~*~ "But we want to go to see her," Lily pleaded.
Dumbledore gave a smile. "You won't have to go visit her at St. Mungos. I have sent Poppy Pomfrey over to steal her and bring her back here so we can monitor her better. Once she is stable and ready for visitors, we will let you know."
Remus couldn't help but smile for the first time that week. His mate was alive and she was coming here to heal. He couldn't be happier. ~*~*~*~

I will be using Irish and French a litte in here. I will provide translations at the end. Chapter Twelve
The sky was darkening when Poppy finally reached Hogwarts with Caelyn Gray's unconscious body. She had successfully Obliviated the hospital staff of any memory of Caelyn and managed to get out of the hospital before anyone questioned her.
When they finally entered the hospital wing, Poppy placed the foating form of the young werewolf onto a bed and began to diagnose the girl. She had some major silver burns and there were even some deep cuts all over her body. Poor dear, the medi-witch thought as she pulled several potions from her cabinet she kept locked in her office. ~*~*~*~*~ The good news spread quickly to the Marauders and Marauderettes. Caelyn Gray was alive and stable. There were rumors running around about her injuries, so the group didn't know how severely their friend was hurt.
They snuck out around midnight and headed toward the hospital wing. Both Alex and James had been given Invisibility Cloaks so the girls were under one and the boys were under the other. They were quite anxious to see how she was.
James stuck a hand out so he could push the hospital wing doors open. It opened and they slipped inside.
Caelyn was lying on a bed farther from the door. She looked peaceful in her sleep. Remus stumbled from under the cloak and headed over to his mate, tears rolling down his face. Her face was unmarked but, when he began to look over her body, she had bad burns all over her arms and reminants of what looked to be deep cuts.
"Oh, mon amour," he whispered, lowering himself onto the bed. "I am so glad you are alright. When you were gone... it was like last year all over again. And it's all because of me."
"No it's not," he heard Alex say from behind him.
"Yes it is. Remember that letter I got earlier? It's because of me that Voldemort took her."
"She's right Remy," came Caelyn's voice.
"You're awake!" Rachel cried. "We all thought you would be out for awhile."
The Ravenclaw chuckled. "Oh, a ionuin cairde, I heal faster than most people. I was just taking a nap when you all came in."
Remus wrapped an arm around her as he pressed his face closer to hers. He inhaled her scent and let out a breath, finally feeling himself relax.
"I would be careful if I were you for the next few weeks," Sirius stated, smirking at the couple.
"Oh? And why would that be, a cara?" Caelyn asked, adding a little of her Irish accent into her words.
"You were gone almost a week and you know how protective Remus is of you."
By now, everyone except Remus and Caelyn were wearing identical smirks. Caelyn let out a groan and Remus gave a chuckle. ~*~*~*~*~ mon amour- my love in French a ionuin cairde- my dear friends in Irish a cara- my friend in Irish
yeah... I am trying to write in some languages like French, German, Russian, Italian, and some Irish just because I am bored and would like to learn more languages (for speaking I would probably do German and French)

Chapter Thirteen
Soon enough, everyone but Remus left the hospital wing to get some sleep. Remus cuddled closer to his mate, both his arms wrapped around her protectively.
Caelyn giggled. "You realize you will be in trouble with Madam Pomfrey when she does her rounds."
"I don't care. She knows that werewolves are overprotective of their mates and she knows that we are mates." His nose butted hers and she let out a sigh.
Finally, both werewolves managed to fall asleep under the covers of the hospital bed. When Madam Pomfrey opened the door, she smiled at the scene the couple made. She summoned a camera and snapped a quick photograph for her keeping. ~*~*~*~*~ "You are still here, Moony?" came the mocking voice of Sirius.
Remus groaned. "It was you who said that I would be overprotective of Caelyn. I find it funny that you would be surprised that I slept here."
"Well... hospital beds aren't that comfortable."
"You think I care?"
Remus jumped when he heard a chuckle coming from his mate. He hadn't known that she was awake yet. Her beautiful blue-gray eyes were sparkling with amusement.
"Good morning," she said in a sleepy tone. She leaned forward and gave him a soft kiss.
"Okay, eww. Stop it guys!"
Remus and Caelyn glanced over at Sirius. They raised an eyebrow at the same time.
"Oh?" Caelyn asked. "Why are you saying that when you could possibly be doing that with Rachel?"
Sirius blushed. "What is this? Pick on Padfoot day? I mean, even James has picked on me today."
"Speaking of him, where is everyone else?" Remus asked.
"They are in the Great Hall. I was just coming up here to see if you were still here, Moony. You need to eat. You haven't eaten since your mate went missing."
Caelyn glared at her mate, who flinched a little. "You haven't eaten yet?" She shoved him off the bed. Remus fell off the bed with an 'oomph'. "Go eat and go to classes. I will still be here when you are done for the day."
Remus let out a sigh and picked himself off of the floor. "All right. I am going. Happy? This is me leaving." He began to walk toward the door before he ran back and kissed her. Then he ran out the door, leaving Sirius to shake his head and Caelyn with a dazed look on her face. ~*~*~*~ The Marauders were happy to see that Remus was back to his old self again, but there was something else that was bothering him. When he was around Caelyn, he would seem happy but he looked sad. He had once claimed that he felt responsible for Caelyn being taken away but everyone told him that it wasn't his fault.
One night, Remus snuck out to the hospital wing, his mind heavy with determination. He knew it was going to hurt but at least this way Caelyn would be protected. Nothing anyone said would change his mind. Not even Caelyn herself.
He entered the hospital wing and let a smile come to his face when Caelyn looked at him. She smiled widely back at him.
"Hey."
"Hey. Are you up for a walk outside?"
"Yeah. Madam Pomfrey said she will release me tomorrow and that I could go out for a walk whenever I wanted."
He held out a hand and Caelyn took it, pulling herself from the bed. Her legs wobbled for a moment but she stood straighter and gave him a bright smile.
Remus walked her out into the snow, feeling his heart break for what he was about to do. He knew he had to do it, had to end it, but it didn't mean that it would hurt any less. Already his wolf was howling in grief.
He took a deep breath and faced her. She had magically transfigured some branches into boots so that her feet wouldn't get frostbite from the snow and the cold.
"Caelyn....we can't be together anymore."
Caelyn froze, staring unblinkingly at her werewolf boyfriend. His amber eyes didn't betray what he was feeling so it was hard to know if what he was saying was true or not. Her blue-gray eyes started to tear up.
"Why not?"
Remus took in another deep breath then looked her in the eyes. It hurt him to see his mate in such pain, but he would not let her continue to be in danger because of him. He knew what he was going to say next would destroy her.
"Because I don't love you anymore. I become embarrassed around you."
His words stabbed her already shattering heart. A lonely tear escaped from her eyes and traveled down her cold cheek. She bowed her head as he walked away, her tears falling more quickly now. Caelyn didn't care that she fell to her knees in the cold wet snow, she didn't care that it was terrifyingly cold outside. Nothing else mattered anymore other than her broken heart. She cried and cried until she couldn't cry anymore. Then she transformed into her wolf form and let out a sorrowful howl, one filled with anguish and heartbreak. ~*~*~*~*~ Rachel knew that howl. And so did Alex and Lily. They glanced up at each other and began to race for the portrait blocking them inside Gryffindor tower when it opened suddenly. Remus passed them by and went up to his dorm, talking to no one. The Marauderettes watched him go and then left the common room.
They quickly pulled their robes tight around them when they got outside. Lily then spotted the gray wolf that was huddled near the lake. "There she is!"
As the girls got closer, they noticed that the wolf was whining and whimpering. Her head was on her front paws and her eyes were closed.
"Caelyn?" Rachel asked softly. The wolf let out a whimper. "What happened? Why are you out here?"
The wolf opened her eyes and stared at her friends. They gasped when they noticed how sad her eyes looked. She then transformed back into herself, where they noticed that her cheeks were tearstained.
"Why did he do it?" she replied. Caelyn let out a sob. "Why?"
"What happened?" Lily asked, rubbing her back gently.
"Remus broke up with me," she sobbed, burying her face into Lily's robes. "H-he said that he d-didn't l-love me anymore. What am I going to do? I can't live without him."
Alex and Rachel joined the hug, their hearts going out to their distraught friend. Even while the girls comforted the werewolf, their minds instantly began plotting revenge on Remus. How dare he break up with her? Everyone knew how much in love Remus and Caelyn were. What could have happened to make Remus break their relationship? ~*~*~*~
