Wolf Love
Summary: Remus Lupin and Caelyn Gray are very much in love, despite what everyone else says. But when his mate is becoming threatened, he does the one thing he regrets the most: ending their relationship. Will Caelyn manage to get their relationship back?
AN: Yeah, I know. I have been deleting lots of stories recently. None of them seem to stick long enough for me to finish. This one, though, I am determined to write. Think of it as a prologue to Webs of Lies and Truth.
Chapter One
"SIRIUS BLACK!"
The small groups of girls, from mixed Houses, looked up from their conversation to the staircase leading to the Gryffindor fifth year's boys dormitories.
"I wonder why Black likes to torture other people, including his friends," murmured Lily Evans, a fifth year Gryffindor.
"Because he finds it entertaining?" replied Rachel Harrison, a fifth year Hufflepuff. Lily snorted.
"No. Really? I couldn't figure that out."
The other girl, Caelyn Gray, ignored the two girls as she continued to read her book. She would rather honestly be reading quietly or spend time with her boyfriend, Remus Lupin.
Finally, Lily and Rachel managed to stop arguing and the four boys descended down the stairs. Remus Lupin rushed over to his girlfriend and kissed her passionately.
"Mate, you might want to tone that down," replied James Potter, adopting a fake-disgusted look on his face.
Remus, however, pretended not to hear his friend and deepened the kiss. The Ravenclaw fifth year was enjoying this very much, to her friends' amusement.
"Knock it off," said Sirius Black, pulling his werewolf friend from the girl. "Save your breath for later."
"Next time I walk in on you snogging some girl, I will do exactly the same thing," Remus growled, tearing his arm from his friend. His golden eyes found his mate and he smiled, feeling better than before. "Now, where are we off to?"
"A broom closet?" Rachel suggested, wiggling her eyebrows.
Both her and Lily cracked up while Remus and Caelyn blushed and the other Marauders looked horrified.
"No, that's okay," James said. He cleared his throat. "We should go outside and have a snowball fight."
"I'm on his side," replied Caelyn, slinking an arm around her boyfriend.
"And I am on hers," he said, winking.
"No bloody fair! You can't be on teams! You fend for yourself out there!" exclaimed Sirius.
"Oh, okay." The happy couple left the common room. The other girls followed suit, still giggling. Finally, James, Sirius, and Peter hurried to catch up with the group.
